Floral hops, a little spice, faint citrus. Decent malt background, I get some honey flavor. I like it.

Poura a clear orange. Has a faint citrus hop aroma. Taste starts smoky and has heavy caramel, citrus hops, and pine. A dry bitter hop aftertaste.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
BBD 5/14. Clear golden with a touch of amber pour. Nice head with lasting lacing. Very nice nose of citrus hops - grapefruit with a touch of lemon over a slight sweetness. Almost medium body with a mouthfeel that is almost slick. Low average carbonation level. The flavor profile is quite tasty and is hop flavor based, rather than bitterness oriented. It begins with citrus, mostly grapefruit, over a slight malt sweetness. It progresses to a nice low level burst of bitterness and grapefruit tartness. The finish is smooth over a bit of effervescence that is sweet, tart and has a lingering soft bitterness. Quite nice!

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Sticky aromas, sticky flavors, sticky finish and sticky palate. Hop glue is in this beer. Pine sap, resin, sweet fruit, syrup, vanilla and caramel. A nice earthy element from the malt.

The name says it all. Not for casual hoppy ale. Very aromatic. Packs a hippy punch but not to bitter. Not too alcoholic in taste

Being from right up the road from Terrapin Brewery we have this stuff everywhere and im NOT complaining!!! Cloudy honey color with a citrus/piney/aroma. Mouth is violated by hoppy goodness in a great way. This is my favorite beer with dogfish head 90 minute following close by

Delving nose first into this deep amber pint conjures childhood memory of the pine air freshener twirling in my dads ’70 454 vette...instant sensory rush of invigorating citrus, lemon balm and evergreens. Marrying exceptionally with oak cask malt background as it dashes down the gullet. Big flavor, nice balance that peaks my interest in the hoppier side of life.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Cask tapped @ Midway Pub in Atlanta, GA 10/12/2011. Pours a murky amber/brown, almost like muddy creek water. Just a ring of off white head and zero lacing. Smell is subdued piney hops, burnt coffee and a little sugary sweetness. The taste is initially watered down burnt coffee, and I can actually almost recognize the Jittery Joes brand within. There is also the bitter hop presence from the base Hopsecutioner, but more pine driven than I remember the original being. The coconut lingers for a bit after the sip like sweet sugary residue. The body is somewhat thin with minimal carbonation. Certainly a creative and funky attempt, but in the end was just a bit too subdued to any one flavor, and drowned out the original IPA which I like quite a bit.

Excellent IPA, well-balanced, hoppy flavor/ malt tasting beer. Nice aroma of hops, amber, white foam, good lacing. The 7.2%abv can be dectected, maybe the bourbon oak is coming through, don’t know, but I know I like this beer!
