Bottle shared by Sparky! Cinnabon, freshly baked biscuit, Starbucks, light cocoa-dusted dark fruit, sugary vanilla glaze, and maple. Pecans, butter-baked biscuits, and molasses. Oh, so good!

Poured a black color with aromas of light coffee, huge cinnamon, some sweetness, and some toffee. Flavors were big cinnamon roll, cinnamon, sugar, and some light malt. Pretty great beer overall, glad I have a few bottles.

Growler from Perfect Pour shared by BeerandBlues2. Pours almost black with a fizzy, bubbly light brown head. Tastes like sweet dough, dry cinnamon, bittersweet chocolate, booze. Low/medium body and carbonation. Smells like a very cinnamony cinnamon roll. Dry, boozy, and toasted sugar.

Bottle. Pours black, with a brown head. Aroma is coffee, cinnamon, roasted malt, oats, and chocolate. Flavor is cinnamon, coffee, roasted malt, and bitter chocolate. Medium body, but really too thin for the style, to me, anyway. Pretty nice, overall.

Growler shared by beerandblues2; thanks for the awesome 3K beer! Pours opaque black with nice, creamy tan head. Aroma is roasted and chocolate malts, cinnamon, sweetbread, light earthiness, faint ash, and faint dark fruit notes. Flavor is dry roast malts, dark chocolate, light cinnamon, faint dark fruit sweetness, and faint earthiness; smooth cinnamon roll and chocolate finish. Medium/full body and medium carbonation.

Growler at home. Pours opaque black with a medium, creamy tan head, medium retention with good lacing. Aroma is coffee, chocolate, and nutty malt with roast notes, cinnamon, sugar, dates, figs and vanilla. Flavor is sweet dark malt dominant, coffee, chocolate, cinnamon, vanilla, dark fruits, light hops and medium malt / hop bitterness with a sweet finish. Full body and medium carbonation with light alcohol warmth.

Bottle - thanks to EricTeusink! First lets start with the wax. I get what they are going for, but really?? Was that pain festival necessary? As for the beer itself, pours opaque black with a small dark brown head that dissipates quickly with decent lacing on the glass. Aroma is roasty, dark chocolate, coffee, cinnamon, vanilla. Flavor is quite sweet, medium bitter, strong cinnamon and vanilla notes, dark chocolate. Medium full body, creamy mouthfeel. OK, I can see why this could be taken as a bit gimmicky, and why the "I hate Dark Lord" crowd would rain shit on this as well, but I thoroughly enjoyed this beer, from first sip to last.

Tasted on 2/7/14 from a capped 650mL bomber bottle at the Friday night tasting at RBWG Asheville, thanks to TheBeerSommelier for sharing. Pours oily dark brown with an average brown head that leaves average lace. The nose is dark chocolate and coffee with frosted cinnamon roll. The flavor is pretty much the same, with the sweet frosted cinnamon roll up front, and all of the cinnamon spice, coffee and dark chocolate bitterness on the back. The body is full with average carbonation and a long bitter coffee and spicy cinnamon, with a hint of vanilla finish.

On tap at Caliente. Pours black with a thin dark tan head. Aroma of roasted coffee, roasted nuts, roasted malt, dark chocolate. Flavor of cinnamon, peppers, chocolate malt, roasted malt. Excellent cinnamon presence- overall reminds me of Hunahpus. Delicious! 8/4/9/4/18 (4.3/5)

Bottle; Pour is murky brown with a hint of amber in this glass - its an average / above average khaki head with a touch of froth - it retains on the average side, with some sticky lacing present into this glass. This brew has an impressive nose that really hits the concept on the head - I find it the most appealing aspect of this brew - Vanilla Cake, cinnamon dominant, with a hint of caramel moving to dark fruits on the light side of things. Oh - theres that coffee bean that I was forgetting as this one warms. The flavor profile is intial light bitter, some sweet bread with moderate cinnamon. Coffee and a hint of velvet round things out to more generic sweetness and a touch of cake. Overall - a fun success , and the most obnoxious bottle opening I’ve ever experienced (two wax colors , brah)
