3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Butters (3321) - Richmond, Virginia, USA - MAR 24, 2013
Sampled from a bomber at the end of the evening shared by an great guy at RRVF2013. Pours a clear golden hue with a ring of offwhite head. Primary notes of honeysuckle, and grass. But it also had a distinct aroma note that is identical to the way that Oscar the Grouch smelled in the Seasame Street Scratch-n-Sniff picture book I had when I was 6 years old. Funny, the things you remember from childhood... Anyways, the beer was quite tasty, but hearing the tragic story behind it is even more moving. My thoughts go out to the families.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 JCB (3804) - Durham, North Carolina, USA - APR 20, 2012
On tap at Tyler’s, Durham. Fairly attractive pour, a semi-cloudy medium gold that was well carbonated and had decent lacing. Nose was mildly herbal, quite bready for the most part. Mouthfeel moderately playful, not much of a yeasty, herbal bite on the palate like I enjoy with the style. Flavors were very indistinct, bready and malt-forward without much other character.
