3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
On tap at Tylerís, Raleigh. Dark brown pour with ruby highlights, soapy carbonation gives it a slightly thinnish look. Soft roasted malts in the nose, hints of Tootsie roll, and slight yeastiness. Mouthfeel is definitely thin, and itís too bad this wasnít the cask pour that Iíve seen from other reviews. Lightly nutty flavors along with roasts, dry (but not especially lengthy) finish. Pretty underwhelming.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draft. Dark brown with ruby highlights in the glass with a creamy tan head. Roasted malt aroma. The flavor found roasted malt with a backing of smoke. Light body, smooth, and a roasted malt aftertaste.

Cask draught. Pours a near black color with a moderate tan head. Nose is quite dry with a lot of roasting to it. Taste is also quite dry and slightly toasty, though I donít get the roasting in the taste. Feels very light. Not bad.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Nitro dispensed, so itís the texture and look youíd expect. A bit roaster and more chocolate than Guinness.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
16 ounce pint - $5.75 at Taco Mac in Kennesaw, Georgia.
Appearance: Very dark brown, near black body with two inches of firm, matte beige foam, leaving coating lace on the descent.
Smell: Hidden beneath a cap of dense foam, meager whispers of roasted malt, chocolate, dark fruits, and hops struggle to escape.
Taste: With my mouth choked by foam wrought from the nitro-tap, I get little more than hints of roasted grain, faint dark chocolate, and leafy, lightly bitter hops.
Mouthfeel: Medium-light body. Creamy, nitro-infused mouthfeel.
Overall: With each passing year, I grow more disillusioned with the whole nitro-tap gimmick.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap at Taco Mac in Atlanta. Pours deep brown, near black wiht tan head. Muted aroma. Taste is roasted malts, hint of coffee and chocolate. Creamy and smooth. Very dry finish. Hard not to compare this to a Guinness draught; they are very similar, although the Balarney is a bit drier.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Draft @ Taco Mac on nitro. Pours dark brown/black with your typical nitro thick creamy tan head. Aroma is light roast, and minor chocolate. Taste is slightly bitter roast, dark malt. Good dry stout, but I though there would be something else to differentiate it from the typical version you think of. Still drink local on St. Pattyís Day. Sure why not.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Taco Mac pour. Black with a frothy nitro head. Could have been a Guinness and fooled me. Light roasted malt aroma with some notes vanilla. Basically just like a Guinness with a more roasted malt presence.
