COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Before red curtains framed the Georgia Theatre stage, they hung alongside silver screen legends: Bogart’s trademark scar, Better Davis’ eyes. The Elite Theatre hummed with a reel-to-reel movie projector, and lines for the box office looped the block for the hottest ticket in town. By 1935, the building’s signature red-lettered marquee advertised double-feature nickelodeons and spaghetti westerns. Like any good sequel, the Georgia Theatre kept what was great about the Elite: star-studded evenings o’ entertainment. Double feature stars as the second in Terrapin’s Georgia Theatre Sessions, a Belgian-style Dubbel Ale as smooth as the silver screen.

Pours almost reddish mahogany color. Yeasty aroma, clove, bubblegum. Light brown sugar notes, smooth malty body, little hop appearance as it should per style. A little muddy for my liking. Not a huge Belgian style fan, but this just isn’t doing for me.

bottle #3/6168 at dak’s 1/31/11. pale amber... a little hazy and not very dubbel-like. it smells and tastes like bubblegum, alcohol, florals and rice... actually, it’s all sake. it even has a starchy rice texture behind the thin alcoholic body. this is horrific... unless it is sake. then, it is beer flavored sake and still terrible.
