COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Before red curtains framed the Georgia Theatre stage, they hung alongside silver screen legends: Bogart’s trademark scar, Better Davis’ eyes. The Elite Theatre hummed with a reel-to-reel movie projector, and lines for the box office looped the block for the hottest ticket in town. By 1935, the building’s signature red-lettered marquee advertised double-feature nickelodeons and spaghetti westerns. Like any good sequel, the Georgia Theatre kept what was great about the Elite: star-studded evenings o’ entertainment. Double feature stars as the second in Terrapin’s Georgia Theatre Sessions, a Belgian-style Dubbel Ale as smooth as the silver screen.

Bottle thanks to Springlicker. Pours orange amber with white head. Nose and taste of dark fruit, alcohol soaked fig, caramel, dark bread, yeast and malt. Medium body.

Pours a hazy copper brown from the bottle with minimal lacy head. Aroma is sweet and malty, toffee and caramel, hints of Belgian yeast, dark fruitiness. Taste is much more on the dark fruity esters, hint of boozy sweetness on the back of the tongue. Almost no carbonation left, bit of a burn, too sweet for me.

22 oz. bottle via trade with TheBeerSommelier - thanks again, Matt! Opened this one at Natifest 2013. Bottle 196/6168. Pours a hazed orange color with a light off-white film for a head. Aroma is dusty, with dry fruits, caramel, earth, and grains. Flavor of caramel, peanut brittle, dry grains, earth, and a little cardboard. Light-medium bodied, with a dry mouthfeel and moderate carbonation. Tasted old. It is old.

AndyReynolds (916) - Dayton, Kentucky, USA - AUG 3, 2013
Bottle shared by Phaleslu (a.k.a donkey butt) fruity aroma, sweet malts, dark fruits fo sho. Palate is thick, but finish really tapers off and waters itself down. Not much head or carbonation, but it is a few years old. Ok, but not exceptional.
