Like music to your ears, the Terrapin "Sound Czech Pilsner" is a concert of flavor. Brewed with 100% Pilsner malt for exceptional crispness, and accompanied by Czech and German hops for noble superiority, this traditional lager will make you stand up for an encore performance.

Pours a slightly hazy golden yellow from bottle 1451 with thin white head that leaves moderate lace. Aroma is nice sweet maltiness with a good pilsner lager yeast behind it. Taste follows, a little sweet but a nice touch body that kills spicy food instantly. Pretty nice for a pils.

Sampled at Campground Brewdown. Poured a thiner clear gold body with a small bubbly white head. Aroma was rather blah, notes of grape skins, wet grains and a hint of plastic. Thinner bodied with tight bubly carbonation and a quick fading aftertaste. Flavor was unoffensive but bland, lightly toasted bread and some white bread crusts. Nothing special with this one.

Thanks to bulbman for sending me this one. Nice yellow color, decent head. Smells like a pilsener, minerals. Taste is good, has a nice bite but I wonder what it was like when it was fresh? Overall this was good and I was surprised the alcohol was not higher because this was quite flavorful. Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 03-24-2011 18:33:37

Sampled at Slutfest 3. Milky yellow pour with small ring of white head. Very clean and lightly citrus and good noble hop floral twinge. Pretty damn good for the style actually. Surprisingly holds up. Too bad I didn’t win a golden ticket :(
