12 oz bottle from trade with nearbeer. Hazy dark straw hue shows through the perfect pint glass. Nose is not really hoppy at all, but a fine sweet malt aroma. Taste is definately sweet malt, infact, I thought the bottle was mislabeled. The hops are nicely subdued within the first second or two, then bam, the floral bouquet jackhammers the tongue. Light & crisp on the palate. Really nice finish of both the sweetness and the bitterness. Well done.

Draft. Amber beer with a cream head. Grapefruit and light caramel aroma. Grapefruit and light pine flavor with caramel. Medium bodied. Good bitterness. Grapefruit and caramel linger with light pine.

I?ve been saying for years that Terrapin ought to expand their distribution area into Maryland, and here they are. The nickname of the University of Maryland football and men?s basketball teams (and all their other sports for that matter) is the Terrapins, which makes this a natural for tailgating, watching games on television in home or bar settings, and to plain old show some Maryland pride (With a beer from Georgia... Don?t think about it too closely, especially when we?re playing Georgia Tech ;) ).Anyhow, the name, label, and logos are strong, and the beer itself is a very reasonable bitter IPA with a malt taste that is stronger than in some IPAs but not to where the hops don?t take control and I?m forced to use the word all hopheads dread- "balanced". ;) Okay, I just used the word, but its in quotes so it doesn?t count. ;) Nothing spectacular, but a decent example of the style. Aroma is a little mild, which puts it just a hair beneath a Torpedo or something like that. EDIT: I appreciate that they took the opportunity to include not only the month, but week its freshest by on the label, but its not that useful without the YEAR. Is like to say there’s no chance a liquor store would leave a beer out so long that year becomes relevant, but we’ve all seen it happen. If its a question of label space, just give us a month and a year rather than a month and a week. They’re being really specific in one sense at the expense of the most important piece of information.

Clear golden orange with minimal head, fading quickly. Caramel malt aromas with hins of citrusy hops and a butterscotch trace. Light body, low carbonation, malty at first, medium bitterness, old hops. Must be an old example. Wad’nt impress with it. Will give it a try on a fresher example...

Pretty good IPA. Not too potent in the aroma but very hoppy. Great flavor and a decent palate. A solid IPA.

Bottle pour..amber hue..large frothy head..aroma of mostly caramel malt..slight flower..grassy mixture..bit of hop presence..flavor of mostly pear..honey and cider notes..taste is initially lightly sweet..finish is light to moderate bitterness..average medium body.a bit to flowery and not enough hop bite bitterness..expected more..almost trying hard to be a double..

Overall, a flavorful and relatively easy drinking IPA. Pleasant citrusy (grapefruit) hops, but not overly bitter.

12oz bottle. Bright melon orange pour with a quickly diminishing head of white soapy bubbles. Aroma is sticky hops and a dryness and light alcohol. Flavor is initially bitter hops and finishes even more bitter with just a touch of sweetness and alcohol. I’m really not seeing what makes this beer special.

Deep amber appearance with a small white head and good lacing. Aroma of gummie bears buried beneath the spicy hops. Herbal hops give way to some resinous note, especially in the aftertaste, where the bitterness establishes itself. Medium bodied, well carbonated mouthfeel with a lingering finish. Decently balanced, not off-the-wall or excdeptionally challenging, but well made ane very drinkable.
