3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle pours a hazy amber body with a small bone-white head. Aroma is grapefruit and grassy hops. Just a hint of toasted malt. Medium body is lively carbonated. Taste is bitter hops, mostly earthy and grassy, but with a citrusy grapefruit component. Toasty caramel malt struggles to balance. A decent IPA, but a bit unbalanced.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Medium amber orange, clear, decent head. Admittedly suffered a bit in comparison from having been immediately after the cask Hop Wallop. Aroma was pine and grapefruit hops, some spice. Flavor matched, with a good malt backbone, touch of caramel sweetness balances the bitterness. A solid if not spectacular IPA.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
12oz bottle. Pours a crystal clear, orange colored body with a finger-width, frothy, off-white head that dissipates quickly and leaves a good amount of lacing. Aroma is a crystal malt, caramel sweetness with a good amount of floral citrus and a light pine. Somewhat resiny with plenty of oranges, grapefruits, and mangos. Not the most vibrant, but lots of fresh hops with a solid malt backing. Flavor seems to rely on the resiny hops a bit more than the aroma did. A lighter pale malt up front with some caramels and a touch of crystal sweetness. Lots of floral fruits and resiny citrus comes in with some earthy pepper before this finishes dry with a higher, resiny bitterness that leaves a lengthy aftertaste. Medium body with a moderate carbonation. Well balanced, crisp, and fairly clean for such a hoppy IPA. Overall, a really enjoyable IPA. Lots of assertive hops for a higher bitterness with a lighter, but somewhat sweet malt balance. This is well put together and very enjoyable.

UPDATED: MAY 29, 2010 12oz Bottle. Amber pour with a beige head. Nose is fruity hops, grapefruit, citrus. Flavor is the same at the nose with a nice fruity taste to it. I get lots of grapefruit and slight tropical fruit towards the end. Finish is also a bit bitter but not overwhelming.

Sample at the "Beer Tasting on the Front Porch". This brew is a clear orange-amber color with a medium and fluffy white head that diminishes steadily. Thin rings of lacing. Citrusy hops aroma with malt in the background. Medium body with a grapefruity hops character that also has some herbal notes. Sweet malt in the background. The finish is crisp and hoppy with a lingering bitterness. Pretty good all around.

Draught at j Clyde. Copper pour with a medium offwhite head with good lacing. Aromas of pine resin and sweet malt. Tastes of piney hops with a little honeysuckle sweetness. There is a pleasent bitterness that lingers on the back of the tongue. Good beer - I always love these guys.

Draft at Brass Tap (Wesley Chapel, FL). Pours a clear copper amber color with an off white head. Piney hop aroma. Floral citrus hop flavor profile with a good amount of bitterness in the finish. Was expecting even more hoppiness based on the name, but still enjoyable.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Pours an appetizing dark translucent amber with a nice fine-bubbled off-white head. Aroma is quite hoppy, somewhat evergreen, and just a little fruity. Nice hoppy flavor is only slightly bitter and has hints of grapefruit and just a touch of sweetness. Smooth, fairly fizzy texture leaves a nice tingle behind.

Bottle from Charleston Beer Exchange in S.C.
Clear golden amber beer with a white head. Aroma is hop resin and pine. Flavor contains the same, with a hint of citrus. Very hoppy flavor with a subdued bitterness. A good beer for those who like the hops but arenít a fine of the strong bitter finish and aftertaste. A good IPA for sure.
