Good IPA with a classic taste, a little fruity. However the finish is quite weak, with only a slight bitter taste and nothing else. This is a good beer and smooth, but Iíll go for a bolder IPA next time.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
12oz bottle into a pint glass.
Pours a clear medium copper with a one finger off-white head. Lacing is just so-so but head retention is very nice with really a solid cap all the way through.
Aroma is full of earthy hops with pine and tree bark. Deep toffee and caramel notes along with a bit of spiciness. Perhaps just a touch of orange.
The flavor really screams English IPA to me in that there is much more malt character and none of the tropical fruit normally associated with American IPAís. Earthy hops complimented by a healthy dose of caramel and toffee from the malt. Bitterness is very high throughout with a mouthfeel that is slightly watery leaving a very light lingering sweetness.
Overall, there really arenít any flaws with this beer but it just doesnít do it for me. I prefer fruitier IPAís in general but this one just seems to be lacking a bit. Decent but not outstanding.

Bottle. Cloudy deep gold/orange body. Frothy white head, slowly diminishing. Aroma of orange, caramel malts, toasted grain. Hints of grapefruit, citrus, peach. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly to moderately sweet and moderately bitter. Medium body, watery/velvety texture, lively carbonation. Malt sweetness nicely balanced with bittering hops, but not so much bitterness that you canít taste hop flavors. Nice to be drinking an ipa thatís not a resin bomb.

Nothing too fancy going on here, just a clean and smooth taste. Higher abv is very sneaky, could see this as an amazing session beer.
