3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
(Bottle, Oliver Twist, Stockholm) Amber colour drawing in the copper direction, with brief beige head. Fruit, malty nose with notes of citrus, orange, caramel and fresh hops. Fruity, malty taste with black-currant, caramel, citrus and earthy hops in a finish with a fairly aggressive bitterness (lots of hops early in the boil). Slightly above medium body, some malt sweetness. Nice one.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Pours orange with an off white head. The aroma has sweeter malts and lightly citric hops. The flavor is well balanced, with sweet malts and floral citric hops, but relatively low bitterness for an IPA. Not bad.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle [12oz] shared with and c/o jercraigs & mabel. Pours a hazy orange-copper with an average size semi-lasting frothy white head. Aroma is fruity, citrusy and hoppy. Flavour’s the same, fruity, citrusy and hoppy with a moderate bitter finish. Just a touch of vegetal notes in the flavour. Medium bodied. Pretty good stuff.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap in a pint glass. The pour is orange-amber with a creamy white head. The aroma is straight up hops, lots of citrus and some cat pee. The flavor is big orangey citrus and mostly hops, not too malty.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
In short: A textbook bitter (mostly pine-tree) and somewhat dry IPA. Highly drinkable
How: Tap at Taco Mac Metropolis, Atlanta
The look: Clear golden orange topped by a small off-white head
In long: The very hoppy nose is full of pine-tree and some dry orange peels. Well malted body, toasted caramel biscuity malts. Nice hop kick with a medium level bitterness. Mostly pine-tree with dry grass some citrus notes. The finish is rather dry. I like an IPA that delivers good bitterness and also feels dry despite being well malted. This beer delivers all that. A nice surprise. I visited this Atlanta bar when I had to spend a night in the city because my connection flight to Rome was delayed because of Iceland’s #1 export product. Volcanic Ashes.
