9/09/2013: Terrapin Hopsecutioner India Pale Ale... Aroma: Honey malt (seems to be a Terrapin trademark), weak toffee, spicy hops. Appearance: Cloludy, golden orange color with a thin, frothy, off-white head. Flavor: Tempered sweet malts with a honey tinge; herbal, sweet citrus peel (but not obvious), weak pine hopes; finishes well - bittersweet with toffee malt and spicy, herbal hops. Palate: Medium-bodied; thinner than expected; clean and smooth overall. Overall: Quite good, but Terrapin Rye2 is still WAY better! 12 fl. oz. bottles (ALC./VOL. 7.3%; Best by JAN 14) shared by Rob. Rating #666 for this beer.

Great IPA. Great appearance. Delicious hop flavor. You cannot go wrong with this beer. A even balance between pine and citrus.

Nothing too fancy going on here, just a clean and smooth taste. Higher abv is very sneaky, could see this as an amazing session beer.

12oz bottle, served in a pint glass. One of the first Terrapin beers I tried, quite good.

Good IPA, and very well balanced. The malt backbone plays better with the hops than most IPAs with a more pronounced malt profile. The main problem is probably the name. I assumed a hop bomb going in and it isn't. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle: Nearly clear, amber-orange with a short beige head. Slightly bready, orange-peel/pine scent. Taste is caramel malt, grapefruit/orange and piney hops. Very lively.

12fl oz bottle. Pours a hazy amber with sediment floaters and a huge creamy light beige head. Vegetal resinous nose with some booziness, and light caramel. Taste wise, it’s toffee notes with alcohol, spice, resinous hops (the malt profile really makes me think Dogfish Head 90 Minute IPA) that kind of falls apart into hopbomb territory (metallic notes, citrus) then a finish of citrus pith. The good parts of this beer I love, and make ignoring the weaker parts very easy. Closer to DIPA than IPA. Recommended.

Hazy orange amber wits sting foamy lacy beige head; aroma is rich like Buttery popcorn or a touch of fruit like cantelope(?); Flava is malty soft and tangy sweet notes of cantelope blended with ignt floral hop notes; feels medium to thick with moderate fizz; finishes dry and hoppy bitter;

12 oz Bottle. Tasted on 6/18/14. Beer from Total Wine @ Naples, FL. The beer has a aroma of pine, resin & a lite citrus. Taste was good & similar to the aroma . The was a medium bitter finish that was more dry than sweet. Overall not bad. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
