Draft at The Ravenous Pig beer dinner, paired with seared fois gras. Yum. Clear brown. A bit of off white/tan carbonation. Piney, bitter, citrus hops up front, roasty, toasty malt in the middle, and hops again in the end. Medium body, balanced carbonation. Real easy to drink, nice session brew.

Oct 10, 2008 Pours a nice dark mahogany. With thick sticky head. Smells of malt, caramel, and toffee. Touch of hops. Falls a little short on the palate. Good touch of caramel, malt, and hops. Decent beer I guess. Better then a lot out there.

Oct 8, 2008 Very nice! The draft pours a darker brown color with a hint red. It has a full head. It a beautiful malty taste, with notes of rye and caramel. It is pleasantly hoppy but retains the smoothness associated with brown ale. I very much like the hybrid of styles - brown ale and IPA - unique, in a nice way. Try this one.

Oct 8, 2008 12 oz. bottle courtesy of ucusty. Thanks! Pours a reddish brown color with a 2-finger head. The aroma is rather weak, but does show notes of brown sugar and citrus hops. Taste is bitter hops with a toffee-like maltiness. Some caramel and rye notes in the finish. Medium bodied.

Oct 2, 2008 Nice mahogany pour with some tan head. Aroma is malty. Hops come in the flavor. Rye bitter aftertaste is not enjoyable for me. I think I just must not care for rye too much.

Sep 28, 2008 (Bottle 35,5 cl) Pours a clear reddish brown with a creamy beige head. Aroma of roasted malt, burned caramel and good aroma hops. Medium body with notes of burned caramel, roasted malt and a distinct and dry aromatic bitterness. Excellent! 200908
