3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle from State Line. Dark pour, frothy head and good lacing. Nutty aroma with mild metallic notes. Sweet syrupy chocolate, but kind of artificial tasting. Some nutty and acidic notes. Thick and coating. Just okay.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Not nearly as good as the description. Chocolate gets lost. Harsher mouthfeel than expected. Coors light colored lacing. Carbonation too harsh for this one, not sweet enough.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. Pours black. Aroma is sweet milk chocolate and roasted malt. The taste follows suit and adds subtle espresso. The palate has a velvety milkshake feel that coats the tongue. Rich, creamy, Medium to low carb. Really interesting enjoyable milk stout. I dig it.

UPDATED: APR 25, 2014 Sweet toasty milk chocolate aroma. Dark brown almost black with dark tan head. Up front is a trace of hop bitter and carbonation, this beer is mainly a sweet milky chocolate drink. good with dessert or as dessert.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Well, this is about what I had expected. In short, this is a very solid milk stout. In a bit longer way, itís a very easy drinking brew with a moderate thickness with a velvety feel. The flavor is pretty heavy on the chocolate, but thereís also a roasty/coffee/almost ash flavor on the end that keeps this from being overly sweet. The aroma gives off a good amount of sweetness, but itís not as sweet on the tongue. One of the better milk stouts Iíve had.

Lots of chocolate beers out there and this is just another one. Cocoa is noticeable and the body is smooth but otherwise indistinct.

This coffee stout is thick, rich and black as night. It is packed with real coffee flavor brewed from a select blend of coffee beans hand picked for Terrapin. This unique blend produces a robust and flavorful beer that emits a full aroma with hints of rich coffee but doesnít overpower the senses. It feels smooth and gorgeous in the mouth with layers of smoky, creamy goodness that leaves you thirsting for more.

Quite good and nice chocolate features. NIce brewing features and those things common in their beers.
