3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
APPEARANCE- Beautiful right out of the can. Dark black, medium colored nougat colored frothy head that clings to the side of my plastic cup.
NOSE- very roasty and sweet with hints of deep cocoa.
FLAVOR- somewhat flat flavor (not carbonation-wise). Slightly sweet, fairly thin mouth feel.
NOTES- good stout, but nothing really outstanding about it. Actually a bit of a let down after the beauty of the scent it exuded.

Pretty rich and a bit too sweet for me. Anne spotted this cheap can. Very nice nose. Starts good taste wise and ends cloying.

4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
On tap, poured into an IPA glass. The aroma is without a doubt a rich, smooth chocolate milk. The beer itself appears as a dark, black-brown beer topped by a tan, creamy head that has good, fuzzy retention and abundant sheet lace. The taste is a medium high sweet and light bitter. The smooth texture has a creamy carbonation and a medium body. It tastes like chocolate ice cream with a hint of berry sweetness and finishes smooth with more chocolate ice cream flavors with a hint of a bourbon vanilla / caramel late. The aftertaste is, surprise, chocolate ice cream that tails off to reveal a light bready character and then a dry, grassy cleanliness.
