Sampled at ESBLS. Black with a creamy beige head that stays put. I smell chocolate but not as much as hoped. Dry chocolate, maybe dark, flavor. Cocoa nibs. Not all that much more. Good but not amazing.

Bottle thanks to jtclockwork. Pours opaque, deep dark brown, nearly blakc with tan head that dissipates quickly to a ring. Minimal, irregular lacing. Aroma: roast and sweet milk chocolate. Taste: Slightly astringent (’tangy’) notes initially, but those drop back to a tolerable level as it warms. Moderately sweet, with light roasted coffee in the end. Palate: creamy texture, medium body that feels a shade thin, if for no other reason than the taste conjures up thick, slick mouth-coating milk. Average carbonation.

12oz bottle in a tulip. Pours near black with a beige head. Aroma of chocolate, lightly roasted malts, some dough, and light bitterness. Flavor the same with a good blend. Average texture. A pretty good milk stout.

Pours black with light single finger khaki head. Aroma is sweet and creamy with rich milk chocolate. A light sweet taste, with thin texture, light body and soft carbonation with an incredibly exquisite finish. Excellent.

Poured from bottle from cellar (52F). Pours almost black with little brown head which dissipates almost completely. Aroma - coffee, maybe a bit of milk chocolate underneath and a hint of licorice. Taste - there’s some chocolate, but it is very earthy/muddy and dark fruits. I guess this is a function of the nibs and shells, rather than processed cocoa. I don’t get a lot of the creaminess I would expect from a milk stout unfortunately. Carbonation is lively and fizzy. Finish is short and slightly bitter.

Dark pour some dark head. Aroma of molasses, markers, barley. Tastes chocolate, strong grain, char, Good light carb, slight acidity. Quite a tasty brew, but watery and not as penultimate as southern tier’s creme brulee stout.

Not much of an aroma. The head is thin and a bit lacy. Mouthfeel is clean and smooth, wish it was a tad bit thicker. Tastes like yoo-hoo :D
