Bottle. Pours a black color with off white head. Milky, coffee, creamy, chocolate aromas. Sweet chocolate, milk flavors. Very chocolatey sweet. Quite tasty.

Poured from bottle from cellar (52F). Pours almost black with little brown head which dissipates almost completely. Aroma - coffee, maybe a bit of milk chocolate underneath and a hint of licorice. Taste - there’s some chocolate, but it is very earthy/muddy and dark fruits. I guess this is a function of the nibs and shells, rather than processed cocoa. I don’t get a lot of the creaminess I would expect from a milk stout unfortunately. Carbonation is lively and fizzy. Finish is short and slightly bitter.

Dark pour some dark head. Aroma of molasses, markers, barley. Tastes chocolate, strong grain, char, Good light carb, slight acidity. Quite a tasty brew, but watery and not as penultimate as southern tier’s creme brulee stout.

Not much of an aroma. The head is thin and a bit lacy. Mouthfeel is clean and smooth, wish it was a tad bit thicker. Tastes like yoo-hoo :D

Definitely get the chocolate milk part of this. Found it overly sweet for my taste. Like a pint of Cocoa Puffs. Just not enough bite to balance the sweetness.

Bottle. Dark almost pitch black pour with a thin mocha head. Chocolate milk, cafe au lait, nuts, fish oil. Lighter than expected medium body with refreshing carbonation. Milky body and finish with a touch of coffee. Great effort

Pour into pint glass from bottle. Deep black in color with thin head that laces around the glass. Nose of dark chocolate. Flavors of dark chocolate, molars, and sweet cream. Very sweet stout with a slight bitter finish. Solid milk stout.

Destin bottle. Fairly typical dark stout pour with a small brown head and a touch of lacing. Aroma similar to cocoa powder with some sweetened milk. Flavor is definitely the cocoa nibs and some milk sugar. Nice.

Pen & Paper Log (Sep 2012) Aroma - is dominated by rich sweet chocolate Appearance - body is dark brown and opaque, the head full and tan, the beer has a nice lacing as well. Taste - is really pleasant with rich sweet chocolate Finish - body is full, texture creamy, carbonation soft, and the finish sweet and rich. Very pleasant Like all the offerings Terrapin provide, this is just another example.

Black pour with a little light khaki cap. Nose is sweet and creamy with milk chocolate and sweet custard. Flavor is the same, some vanilla custard and delightful milk chocolate tone. Would do better if the body were more full. But really tasty and creamy-chocolaty.
