3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Appears black with a nice flat brown head. Smells of cocoa. Powerful stout taste. I served it a little too warm at 61 degrees. I couldn’t wait. I think it might be better. Full body with a creamy texture. Was hoping for a little bit more in the chocolate department but happy anyway.

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Ar: Some sharp roast and a touch of cocoa.
Ap: Black, opaque, medium-smell mocha head with moderate retention and very little lacing.
T: Definite chocolate up front, sort of like Hersey’s syrup, medium sweet - fairly roasty as well, with some pear esters - medium bitterness - chocolate finish is certainly there, but has a touch of an artificial quality.
P: Medium body with medium-high carbonation - finish is medium-dry.
O: Tasty chocolate stout - tastes like its name would suggest.

Other than pouring much darker than the real thing, this is amazingly like chocolate milk. As a kid I loved the stuff but now that I’m all growed up I prefer my chocolate darker and less sweet, so there are other chocolate beers more to my taste. That said, I would not turn one of these down!

12oz bottle. Pitch black pour razor thin head. Nose is chocolate milk, roasted malts, and a tad of vanilla. Taste is also chocolate milk like. I wish it was a tad thicker on the palate with less carbonation. Good stuff. A lighter version of ST Choklat.
