Pours very dark with mahogany edges and tan head. The aroma has a mix of chocolate, dark roasted malts, a mild note of dark fruity esters and some molasses. I also get tart like earthiness from time to time too. The taste begins with molasses covered graham crackers then quickly becoming chocolate, dark roasted malts and drying to tart lactose. Into the finish it rolls into a pleasing chocolate milk sensation.

Black pour with a thin brown/red head. Surprisingly, aroma is of milk chocolate and smells o so delicious. Smooth, creamy body. Milk chocolate dominates the flavor profile with a bit of sugar, lactose and some vanilla. Smooth finish, mellow cocoa and milk chocolate notes linger. Just the right of abv to give a bit of bite and some body but no distracting heat. Iím glad to see a newer Terrapin that isnít a boozy bomb for a change. Perfect for the style. Home run.

Have had this now on tap and in the bottle and find the draft version if you can. A much more silky smooth and creamy milk experience. The bottle is good though too so donít avoid it if you see it. It is just a bit more on the roasty malt side than the creamy milk chocolate side. Just a difference in dominant flavors. Tap = creamy milk chocolate first then roasty malt and bittersweet coffee. Bottle = bittersweet coffee first then milk chocolate deliciousness later. Aroma is very smooth with a nice roasted malt sort of element. Big body on the palate and big presence. Pretty good.

Pours a dark black with some light allowed and two fingers of creamy tan head. Nose is chocolaty for sure with a mild caramelly sweetness and some coffee roast. Nice chocolate character in the flavor with hints of vanilla bean and a mild roast. Full bodied with some roast on the palate.

12 oz bottle. Pours nearly a pitch black color with a hint of mahogany at the edges and topped a by a small head of mocha colored foam that settles quickly to a thin film. The aroma is nice showing notes of milk chocolate, roasted cocoa, and some vanilla cream. Pretty straight forward, but it is nice either way. The flavor follows suit with the simplicity, but very tasty with several varieties of chocolate from dark to sweet milk chocolate and some softer, drier cocoa nibs as well. The vanilla cream, caramel, and cocoa roast tie things together nicely. Medium bodied and smooth as silk with subtle carbonation that leads to a clean finish. This is a delicious session beer that is light enough to drink plenty of. Really good beer.

Terrapin has been letting me down recently, and there labels have been increasingly getting on my nerves... oh, and I usually donít like chocolate stouts. Not surprisingly, I really didnít expect much from this beer. Pours thin-looking black with thinnish dark beige head. Nose is rich chocolate. Milky, but also showing nice darker notes. Winning so far... but is the taste going to be too sweet for me? Nope, actually, itís milk chocolate goodness. I have to be in the mood for this, but itís actually quite good.
