Bottle split with Pat. Pours a deep chocolate black body with nice brown lacing. Aroma is creamy, milky, and light chocolate. The mouthfeel is incredibly smooth - almost like a yoo-hoo - with notes of light milk chocolate, cocoa, milk, and cream.

12 oz. bottle from SoHo Organic Market, Elizabeth City. Pours very dark brown with a very thin espresso-like crema. The aroma is what you would expect; milk chocolate upfront with hints of coffee and light floral hops. The flavor is wonderful smoky yet balanced by the chocolate and lactose used to make this beer. As far as milk stouts go this is the best balance of flavors and the chocolate is a very nice addition. Very excellent.

12oz bottle. Poured a pretty dark, almost black if Id peg it as something, with a tan head. Aroma was roasted malts, chocolate. Mouthfeel was smooth, creamy. Flavor was rich vanilla and chocolate, Id really liken it to chocolate milk. A solid beer!

Delightfully easy drinking while providing a solid consistency for imbibing. A lucsious body shares memories of cocoa and burnt caramel sugar and gives velvety swirls on the palate. A well crafted stout that doesnt try to do more than it promises, and delivers where it does. A tasty finishing beer that could get cloying after 1 or 2, but great for where it needs to be. Worth a try but probably not worth a 6er of them.

Black, foamy tan head. Aroma of milk chocolate and touch of smokiness. Taste is mostly sweet with a mild burnt finish. Pretty good stuff. Milky texture. A little too much chocolate sweetness for me, but still nice.

Black pour no real lacing, smaller head, not very viscous in the swirl.... Has an airy aroma, creamy, chocolate and dark fruits, not pungent... Roasty flavor with dark chocolate and a lot of dark fruit flavors and a touch of a medicinal quality, too much fruit not enough chocolate and lactose quality... The mouthfeel was a bit oily... medium bodied...

Bottle shared by Shane, thanks! Poured near black with a wooden brown head that lasted throughout the beer. Aroma had a lactose note that was joined by a sweet milk chocolate note and a bit of dark grains. Flavor began with sweet milk chocolate was joined by some lactose and a hint of dark grains.

12oz. Bottle: Aroma of roasted malt, chocolate, and dust. Poured pitch black in color with a large, creamy, dense, brown head that diminished but lasted throughout. Opaque. Lightly sparkling. Excellent lacing. Flavor is medium sweet. Tastes of roasted malt, chocolate, and yeast. Medium body. Slick texture is lightly dry. Average carbonation. Chocolate and roasted malt finish is lightly dry.

@Belvidere at Broad-on cask-pours light brown bubbles with black color. Aroma is rich dark malt-molasses. Taste is rich dark malt-molasses/choclate/some ashy, 2nd earthy hops.

Black, with a persistant beige head. Chocolate, coffee, vanilla and slightly milky aroma. More Cohcolate and vanilla in the taste, kinda reminds me of cappacino. Tasty stuff, very rich and satisfying.
