Reviewed 12/23/2012. 12 oz bottle into a pint glass. A: Pours a very dark brown color. It’s not quite as ultra-opaque as the WnB I had just before this, but it’s still dark enough to block out the light. The head is a two finger mocha shade with meh retention. There is a bit of lace left on the glass, at least. S: Surprisingly nutty in terms of aroma. There also seems to be a combination of roasted and charred malts, as well. I don’t really pick up a lot of chocolate on the nose. T: Wait, did I say that I don’t pick up a lot of chocolate aromatically? Because the chocolate is really battering the palate here. It opens the flavor profile like a wrecking ball - almost as if Terrapin melted a 70% dark cocoa bar into the beer before bottling it. The midtaste brings a lot of lactic cream in a balanced manner. It’s sweet enough to make this a slow sipper rather than a chugger or even a gulper. At least the lactose never comes across as being acidic, sour, or harsh. M: The body comes across as thicker and more syrupy than it really is, which I would attribute to the finishing cream flavor. There’s some finishing astringency, too, but it’s not dry enough finish-wise to balance it out. Carbonation is mediocre. O: I feel like milk stouts are the Tito Jackson of the stout family - but this one hits my chocolate tooth enough to separate it from the pack. Totally rock solid as long as you don’t expect it to be WnB.

Bottle. Pours a black body with a small tan top. Chocolate, cocoa and roasted malts on the nose. Sweet taste with more milk chocolate and a light bitter finish. Lingering chocolate flavors. Pretty nice. Medium body and avg co2.

Looks like Chinese soy sauce... Pretty sweet aroma and taste, with cocoa and molasses. Typically smooth milk stout with a finish reminding of salty liquorice (salmiak). Nice beer to sip.

This stout poured a deep black colour with a beautiful brown, creamy head. Scents include coffee, cocoa, molasses and burnt malts. First swig was smooth with a little more carbonation than expected. Flavours of burnt malt and coffee with hints of cocoa. Finish is toasty as hell. Delicious.

Pours black with brown head. Nose is slightly roasty and actual ly some hints of chocomilk is also apparent. The carbonation is nonexistent, sweet taste running from start to finish with some great tones of chocolate hitting in at the end.

Bottle. Almost black with a big, thick beige head that doesn’t retain. Aroma is sweet with chocolate, lightly roasted. Taste is sweet, with chocolate, lightly roasted, slight coffee and vanilla. Medium body, low carbonation, smooth mouth feel. Short bitter chocolate aftertaste.
Well balanced and tasty!

Mycket gott!

Pitch black, small beige head. Aroma of chocolate sauce and vanilla. Sweet taste dominated by chocolate and vanilla with medium body and clean, rounded mouthfeel. Quite light and one-dimensional though. A little bit too sweet.
