Reviewed 12/23/2012. 12 oz bottle into a pint glass. A: Pours a very dark brown color. It’s not quite as ultra-opaque as the WnB I had just before this, but it’s still dark enough to block out the light. The head is a two finger mocha shade with meh retention. There is a bit of lace left on the glass, at least. S: Surprisingly nutty in terms of aroma. There also seems to be a combination of roasted and charred malts, as well. I don’t really pick up a lot of chocolate on the nose. T: Wait, did I say that I don’t pick up a lot of chocolate aromatically? Because the chocolate is really battering the palate here. It opens the flavor profile like a wrecking ball - almost as if Terrapin melted a 70% dark cocoa bar into the beer before bottling it. The midtaste brings a lot of lactic cream in a balanced manner. It’s sweet enough to make this a slow sipper rather than a chugger or even a gulper. At least the lactose never comes across as being acidic, sour, or harsh. M: The body comes across as thicker and more syrupy than it really is, which I would attribute to the finishing cream flavor. There’s some finishing astringency, too, but it’s not dry enough finish-wise to balance it out. Carbonation is mediocre. O: I feel like milk stouts are the Tito Jackson of the stout family - but this one hits my chocolate tooth enough to separate it from the pack. Totally rock solid as long as you don’t expect it to be WnB.

355ml bottle. Pours pitch black with a smooth brown head. Aroma of milky notes, chocolate, hints of roastiness, lactic notes and cocoa. Taste is smooth, slightly roasty and milky with some chocolate and hints of cocoa. Finish is smooth, sweetish and slightly roasty with some chocolate and milk, hints of artificial notes. Okay.

35,5 cl bottle (6%) @ home
Aroma has sweet milk chocolate and licorice. Also mild hay. Flavour has chocolate essences, mildly salty licorice and some coffee. Feels a bit artifical but I still seem to enjoy this.

I poured it from a can into a glass. It pours dark with a small tan head and some lacing. The aroma is roasted coffee, chocolate, and burnt sugar. The taste is roasty coffee, chocolate, and milk. There was decent carbonation. I would’ve liked it to be more creamy. This was still very tasty and enjoyable though.

Pours black with a very thin line of nougat colored head. Aroma; milk chocolate, roasted malt and a pinch of coffee. Medium to well carbonated with flavours of roasted malt, loads of milk chocolate and some coffee.. A little watery in the finish, but overall a Yoo-Hoo for fathers across the globe.

Medium brown head. Opaque black body. Sugary cocoa aroma with bubble gum notes. Sweet intense cocoa taste with fruity candy notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, powdery mouthfeel. Aftertaste is the same. Lingering cocoa bubblegum finish. Gah. Too sweet, too artificial, and too one-dimensional. (0.355l bottle, from Kihoskh, Copenhagen.)

Intensiv, söt doft av chokladmjölk och vanilj. Nästan svart brygd med rubinröd ton. Kort skum. Söt smak som domineras av choklad och karamellartad melass. Mjuk, medelfyllig kropp och en välavvägd kolsyra.

Bottle from systembolaget sweden. Medium lasting brown head. Clear dark brown color. Nice and mild chocolate aroma. Metallic chocolate taste. Well fermented to give a dry finnish. Taste is to milk chocolate dominate and no bitterness or caramell to give a more complexity.
