Reviewed 12/23/2012. 12 oz bottle into a pint glass. A: Pours a very dark brown color. Itís not quite as ultra-opaque as the WnB I had just before this, but itís still dark enough to block out the light. The head is a two finger mocha shade with meh retention. There is a bit of lace left on the glass, at least. S: Surprisingly nutty in terms of aroma. There also seems to be a combination of roasted and charred malts, as well. I donít really pick up a lot of chocolate on the nose. T: Wait, did I say that I donít pick up a lot of chocolate aromatically? Because the chocolate is really battering the palate here. It opens the flavor profile like a wrecking ball - almost as if Terrapin melted a 70% dark cocoa bar into the beer before bottling it. The midtaste brings a lot of lactic cream in a balanced manner. Itís sweet enough to make this a slow sipper rather than a chugger or even a gulper. At least the lactose never comes across as being acidic, sour, or harsh. M: The body comes across as thicker and more syrupy than it really is, which I would attribute to the finishing cream flavor. Thereís some finishing astringency, too, but itís not dry enough finish-wise to balance it out. Carbonation is mediocre. O: I feel like milk stouts are the Tito Jackson of the stout family - but this one hits my chocolate tooth enough to separate it from the pack. Totally rock solid as long as you donít expect it to be WnB.

Poured from 12 oz. bottle to sampling glass. Nice malty, chocolaty, rich aroma. Looks like motor oil pouring out of bottle and provides very thin tan head that lasts for only a few seconds. Tastes like eating semi-sweet chocolates without the cookie. The taste lasts long and beckons you for another sip. Very little carbonation with very deep body and oily texture. The finish is smooth and again beckons you to drink more. Overall a great milk stout with a great name and awesome artwork!

12 oz. bottle, share by Nate, another fine stout shared by a new friend. Lasting tan head that cascaded, producing a crazy amount of lasting head, great retention. Aroma is Hersey chocolate syrup and roasted malt.

The flavor starts with chocolate syrup and turns into a caramel and light tones of cream. The body is a little lean but damn the flavor is like drinking a melted chocolate bar in a stout. Really flavorful with lingering sweet chocolate in the finish, real nice brew.

Bottle @ home, thanks to Homer321 for sending. Pours a black appearance with a brown head. Some herbal notes, roasted malts, chocolate, and vanilla in the nose. Fairly high sweetness. Some notes of cola along with chocolate milk shake. Pretty good but also not my thing.

Chocolate roast aroma on the nose. Jet black beer with a tan head with poor retention. Flavor has notes of cocoa and coffee. No hop flavor. Bitterness and roast characters balances the malt. Mouthfeel is medium light. It's a little watery. Mild astringency. Overall, it's pleasant beer to drink. Though it could use a little more malt complexity and body. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Half pint draft at Hop Stop hipster joint in Nashville. Nice unexpected sour flavor surprised me. It's very dry. Sweetness quickly turns try and sour. Not retentive of head. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

32 ounce growler from ABC liquor store pours a dark brown color with virtually no head. Seems a bit flat possibly from being in the growler for almost a week. Nice chocolatey aromas. Full-bodied with highly viscous mouth feel. very nice chocolate smooth flavoring. Too bad it's flat if it was properly carbonated would probably rate a lot higher

Bottle. Pours a dark brown with a foamy tan head. Rich aroma of what else but chocolate milk. Cocoa and vanilla. Palate is overwhelmed with cocoa, and roasted malts with some vanilla. Full bodied. Didnít expect to love this so much.
