Pours a deep, opaque brown, with a tan head that quickly dissipates and leaves just a trace of lacing. Aroma is a bit restrained, but chocolate is front and center, with a general sweetness. In fact, the chocolate aroma is so prominent that it leaves little room for anything else. Flavor is, as one would expect, mainly of chocolate. However, it’s more a flavor of bittersweet cocoa nibs than milk chocolate. Roasted malts also figure prominently in the mix, with a warming, slightly alcoholic aftertaste. A balance of sweet, burnt, and slightly sour (think dark cherries) flavors. Lively, though slightly watery mouthfeel. In sum, a nice, sweet milk stout that is most drinkable.

Svart farge med beige skum. Lukter av sjokolade og litt lakris. Smaker sødme og veldig av sjokolade. Absolutt en god søt stout.

355 ml bottle, bb 1.8.2016
Dark brown body, with a big, stable, creamy, lacing, dark beige to brown head.
Aroma with lots of cocoa and milk chocolate, lactose, hazelnut, vanilla, some dark fruits.
Taste follows this, with some more toast and subtle coffee notes.
Medium, slick mouthfeel, with a moderate carbonation.
Finishes medium sweet, a bit roasty, with cocoa, lactose, toast, some nuts, some dark fruits.

Very nice. Perfectly matching the name of the beer, with lots of lovely chocolate and milk notes, but not too sweet, really well balanced. Not my favourite style example overall, while still satisfying, characterful stuff.

355 ml bottle. Black body with a small beige head. Aroma is milk chocolate with a hint of vanilla, quite strong on the chocolate. Flavor is sweet milk chocolate, sweet lactose, cocoa and hint of vanilla. Medium body and sweet milk chocolate all the way in the aftertaste. In a way quite nice if you have a sweet tooth or just are found of cocoa/milk drink – not unpleasant at all, but frankly too much additives here and too little beer. Still no problem finishing the bottle.

Bottle shared with koleminer20. Vintage 2013. Matt needs to clear out his refrigerator. Aroma is lactose, chocolate, roasted malt, not much else. Appearance is dark dark brown, light tan head, poured thin. Taste is lactose, chocolate, roasted malt, some coffee, tons of flavor for a three year old beer. Mouthfeel is medium body, light carbonation, chocolate and lactose aftertaste. Overall, for being years old, this one is still good.

12 oz bottle. (Systembolaget) Stockholm, Sweden.
Pitch black color with a small light tan head. Cacao, chocolate, nougat, sweetness, marmalade, sweetness and roasted malt in the aroma. Yummy! The flavor is roasted malt, vanilla sweetness, darkish chocolate, nougat and mild bitterness. Balanced and tasty.
