COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Pumpkin beers have been an American tradition since the pilgrims hit Plymouth Rock while Oktoberfest beers have been brewed in Germany since not long after Prince Ludwig got hitched in 1810. Now Terrapin is “carving” out our own special brew by combining these two great styles into a unique PUMPKINFEST beer...This Side Project has all the complex maltiness of a great Oktoberfest lager with the delicate spiciness of grandma’s fresh baked pumpkin pie.

Formerly Terrapin Side Project Pumpkinfest.

Bottle. Solid initial pumpkin aroma. Medium amber clear color. Pure malt flavor profile (no noticeable hop prescence). Smooth on palate but no hop flavor like i prefer. Good pumpkin beer.

Poured from a bottle. Hazy brownish orange with fizzy offwhite head. Aroma is malt and pumpkin pie; you can smell the sweetness and the spice. The taste is also sweet and follows the nose. Pumpkin pie spice lingers on the palate for a while. The body is fairly light and the carbonation is soft. Overall, a good pumpkin beer.

2013 Vintage
Tasted on 12/2/13 from a capped 12oz bottle purchased at Midtown. Pours bright orange with an average off-white head that recedes to thin lace. The nose is pretty typical spiced pumpkin with some caramel, and typical baking spices...as a matter of fact, this beer smells almost exactly like a pumpkin pie. The flavor is a bit maltier with more bread, pie crust, and caramel, with the typical baking spices taking a back seat. The body is fairly light with average carbonation and a long caramel and baking spice finish.

A very solid pumpkin! Decent copper pour w/out much of a head & leaves a little lacing. Aroma is subtlety full of fall spices. Taste is very well balanced & finishes w/ a good amount of spice which lingers on the palate. Good stuff!

Bottle at Ritz Carlton, Orlando, 20th November 13. Quite sweet, some cinnamon, nutmeg and thin pumpkin flavour, with other spices. Not bad for a seasonal tipple, nicer by an open fire probably

Bottle to glass. Light amber color with a thin off-white head. Pumpkin sweet smell with lager yeast notes. Flavor is sweet with too much lager character that lingers in the finish. Not my favorite pumpkin by any means.

I am not a huge fan of Pumpkin Beer. Too often I am left wanting a glass of milk to go with the piece of pie I have just drank. This beer does an excellent job of balancing the pumpkin flavors within the beer. Pours murky brown with thinnish white head. Scent is allspice and malts. Mild pumpkin spice flavors blends well with light malts and hops. Medium to Heavy body. A best in show Pumpkin beer. Bottle - Dakota Blue - Atlanta, GA
