12oz can. Light amber color, thick white foam. Aroma of pale malts, simple caramel, light hops. Flavor has a crisp bitterness, dominate grain character. Very sessionable, perfect for taking with you to the íHooch. (4036)

Terrapin Recreation Ale has a very thick, foamy, off-white head, a hazy (powdery sediment, suspended throughout), yellow-gold, bubbly appearance, and lots of lacing left behind. The aroma is pineapple, hop resin, and sweet malt. Taste is of the same, with moderate bitterness. Mouthfeel is medium and slick, and Terrapin Recreation Ale finishes semi-dry, easy going, and refreshing. Itís good, but the whole style has become depressingly ho-hum. RJT

Straight from the can. Smells of a bright morning in the woods. Very carbonated but expected and refreshing. Canned last year so I might be missing out on the hops. Aftertaste is a slight bitter with a nice dose of malt. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Single can. Light amber pour with a big frothy offwhite head. Ton of citrus in the aroma. Really bright citrus taste with some mint in the background. Tiny bit of bitterness at the end, but very sessionable. Not as thin as expected. Seems like a perfect summer beer.

Poured an amber orange color with aromas of fresh hops, light grapefruit and some oi e. Flavors are the same not over three top but enough there. Extremely session able from the abv.

Crisp, light amber coloured body with a nice copper glow and a ridiculously thick, five centimetre tall tan head. Aroma of bright piney, graperuity and especially pineappley hops with a bunch of resinous notes throughout. Light-bodied; Sharp pungent hop flavour of resin mostly with some herbal and piney bites coming soon afterwards. Aftertaste shows a lot of hop flavours with a wide complexity with a touch of malt (not much), some light herbal notes and a lot of grass throughout. Overall, a very pungently hopped (and dry hopped) beer with not much body. Great to taste, especially in the summer or when itís hot - a great profile throughout that hits exactly the way it should. I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased from Whole Foods in Arlington (Clarendon), Virginia on 9-March-2014 for US$2.29 sampled at home in Washington on 06-April-2014.

Bam, this is much better than the first time I had it fresh. Great hop aroma, quite green, but letís be honest, Iím drinking it from the can. Flavor is green fresh hops with minimal malt, all things I love in life. Fresh cut grass, citrus and light pine. Well done

Can at home. Pours faintly hazy orange with a large, frothy and foamy white head, long retention with good lacing. Aroma is fragrant fresh citrus and floral hops, peach and pear esters, light cereal and meal malt. Flavor is medium citrus hops, moderate bitterness, light cereal malt, balanced to the hops and bitterness with light fermentation fruity esters and a dry finish. Medium-light body and moderate carbonation.

It poured a clear golden/orange color with an off-white head. The aroma was of light citrus resin and some slight bready grain. The taste was similar, light on the tongue and thin but is not bad. Good stuff.
