3.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: AUG 13, 2013 I love supporting Terrapin and their Hopsecutioner is a great brew but I was pretty disappointed with this offering. However, after getting several friends to try it and ALL of them saying they liked it, I gave it another try. It must have been a bad tasting day the first time as I bought a case this past weekend.

Draft at Bru Craft. Hazy honey amber pour with soft white foam. Some lace. Moderately bitter grassy woody hop resins. Hints of dark citrus and amber fruit. Murky taste.

On tap. Minor lacing, lingering feel on the tongue. A bit hoppier than the Poivre from the same brewery, but not much. Quality is apparent, nice enough.

12oz can from GT Package in Grovetown. Light fruity, somewhat tangy. Shrug? There are better for style. 13

Can: Drank from the can like a man. Aroma is nice fresh hops. Taste is hops forward with soft malt. Very easy drinking on a warm Florida day.

Pretty solid session. Light amber colored. Good bitter bite. Plenty of citrus. Malty body, but not too heavy. Easy to crush.

2.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
I'm not a huge fan of this beer. I have had it on draught and its better than a can but it is very thin bodied, especially in a can. There are many sessionable beers that don't taste this watery. It also has a floral aroma that I don't prefer mixed with the fact that the beer is watery... It kind of tastes like a weak chamomile tea with some beer flavor hoppiness to it... That's kind of an exaggeration, but this just is not one of my favorite sessionable ales.

On tap at the Secret Sandwich Society in Fayetteville WVA. Terrapin RecreationAle is a honey golden slightly hazy beer with a nice head of white bubbles. Nose is a slight citrus and mostly grassy hop aroma. Taste is a nice hit of hops followed up by some decent lightly sweet malt. Body is on the thicker side of medium. A nice Sessionable beer, too bad I only had time for one.
