Gregis (848), Overland Park, Kansas, USA May 12, 2008 Bottle courtesy of TheBeerCellar. Pours a hazy orange-amber with two fingers of creamy beige head that leaves a ladder of lace in its wake. The aroma is of sweet citrus, spruce and apricots with a solid caramel, biscuity malt backing. The rye adds just a touch of spiciness to the mix, but it’s certainly more of a supporting role than a starring role in this beer. Medium to full-bodied and creamy with a dry, bitter, lingering finish. The flavor is of sweet, caramel malt with lesser notes of apricot and pineapple backed by a solid hit of citric and somewhat resinous hop bitterness. The aftertaste lingers bitter and slightly spicy (rye). This is a very tasty and satisfying brew. Thanks again for this one, Matt!

Golden / orange colour with a beige head. Aroma is citrus, hop, grapefruit, malt. Flavour is sweet, citrus, hop, grapefruit, dry, malt. Full bodied nice beer. gsmitty80 (492), Charleston, South Carolina, USA Jul 9, 2008 Pours dark copper with little head or carbonation. The aroma is great it matches all the tastes through the beer and is a good representation. The end tastes a little mettallic and doesn’t pack the power of the other imperials that i enjoy. amc3000 (35), houston, Texas, USA Jul 5, 2008 12oz. bottle.
