CaptBier (234), Birmingham, Alabama, USA May 13, 2008 Bottle. Pours a deep, hazy orange with thin white head. Aroma is sweet with nice hop balance. The mouthfeel is very thick but the taste itself is kind of thin. Theres a nice malt flavor to it but the hops just dont seem to be there except a very little in a bitter, dry finish. Nice start, but has some holes in it.
ericandersnavy (81), denton, Texas, USA Jul 13, 2008 bottle thanks to GAManiac. poured a hazy deep gold with a beige head. aroma was that of hops, caramel, and citrus. flavor was caramel with hops. this had an excellent bitterness. terrapin in one of my favorite brewers by far. keepersj12 (382), Sicklerville, New Jersey, USA Jul 12, 2008 Top notch stuff. Great aroma hits you fast. Flavor is citrus and pine with some malt sweetness. Looks good and finishes nice and dry. gunnfryd (2659), Kristiansand, Norway Jul 11, 2008 Bottle. Golden / orange colour with a beige head. Aroma is citrus, hop, grapefruit, malt. Flavour is sweet, citrus, hop, grapefruit, dry, malt. Full bodied nice beer. gsmitty80 (492), Charleston, South Carolina, USA Jul 9, 2008 Pours dark copper with little head or carbonation. The aroma is great it matches all the tastes through the beer and is a good representation. The end tastes a little mettallic and doesn’t pack the power of the other imperials that i enjoy. amc3000 (35), houston, Texas, USA Jul 5, 2008 12oz. bottle.
pours with a little carbonation. nice copper-tan coloring, aroma of rye and sweetmalt. taste is a good balance with a decent amount of rye spicy notes.aftertaste is nice with no harsh flavors.
