3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Golden color with a thick white head. Aroma is pine hops with a bit of rye. Flavor is piney and sweet with just a touch of a bite. Finish is a little sweet and dry. Not bad.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
2014 12 oz bottle in a pint glass.
Deep amber with a durable, creamy head.
Aroma: grassy, flowery and spicy with a hint of bread.
Flavor: wow, all the hops you’d expect in a DIPA (at least from the Eastern U.S.), and a load of balancing swet malts. This even tastes a touch sweet for just a moment near the finish but is overall mildly bitter.
Feel: very smooth and full for style.
O: excellent DIPA, especially for those who prefer limited bitterness.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Slightly hazy copper, with rather thin white head. Big caramel and toffee aroma, with notes of pine and grapefruit. Taste is toffee and molasses, with nicely dry pine finish. Some alcohol heat, too.

12oz bottle pours a clear, burnt orange with some thin, white, lightly lacing white head. Nose is heavy with orange, grapefruit and candy, some bread notes, a little perfume. Flavor has some honey, some candy, grapefruit, heavy orange, some mild perfume, malt. Big, sticky, bitter finish.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. This is a nice dry rye brew with a good wallop of hops on top. It does have a pretty intense rye spice so if you are not up for that give that give this a miss.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Where and how: 355ml , 2014 edition
Aroma big, bold, spicy rye feel with hops and alcohol. Finish noted with toasted cookie dough. Vanilla. Aroma heavy on rye.
Top: lasting, pillow like white top. Handsome look.
Base: clear red.
Palate : oily, milder carbonation, soft.
Taste: frontal rye notes, dangerously hidden alcohol potency. More rye. All about rye in here.
Other notes I wish if there was some hop roughness to rough up all that smooth heavy rye feel.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours honey amber in color with a medium off white head. Aroma is sweet with the rye taking precedence. Taste is sweet caramel and rye grains up front and throughout the finish. One dimensional, but really good. The 10.7% ABV is nonexistent - CAREFUL...

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Nice visual appeal, deep amber with a rich topping. The aroma is a hint at the furniture polish underneath ... and that’s what’s delivered. Overly rich with a varnish alcohol burn, this can scare a drinker away. It’s well made, but a bit obtuse. (#5735, 9/13/2014)

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Dark clear mahogany with an off white head. Aroma is caramel, toast and some earthy notes. Taste follows but adds a heavy pineapple note. Rich mouthfeel and long finish. Ok.
