Terrapin Rye Pale Ale

12 oz bottle. Poured clear copper in color with a large frothy beige sticky head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of rye malts, with a bit of sweet floral hops. Tastes of Rye, floral hops, caramel, and a little mild citrus. Nice body and certainly and easy drinker. Pretty good.

12 fl oz bottle. Pours clear and golden orange with a lacing white head. Citrus and grapefruit aroma. Mild spiced too. Light breadish malt flavour with a light citrus fruity note on top. Slowly building bitterness into the finish.

Pretty solid. Sort of dry for my taste. Probably b/c of the rye. Flowery and a little citrussy too.

This is another excellent beer by Terrapin. Very drinkable, one of my first experiences of a rye beer. Had this in a Hotel Lounge in downtown Atlanta. I wish I could get this in Omaha.

Bottle at Chris O’s 19th April 2008 tasting. Orange gold with a rye aroma, this is a bit fizzy on the tongue and tastes of very little. Avoid.

Botella. Pours a hazy golden colour with a nice medium white head leaving a good lacing. Aroma of rye, and hops. Good mouthfeel. The flavour has a mild sweetness, good hoppiness, rye and some citrus. Nice dry lasting finish. Nice turtle brew.

On tap @ mellow mushroom, winter park. Hazy golden with a slight white head. Citrus hops up front, atop some smooth toasted malts and wonderful spicy rye. Citrus and rye, pairs well .Nice bitter finish! Better colder.

On tap at Bonnaroo. I assume this is what it was, although I thought it was simply a basic pale ale. Ah well, No real aroma. Poured a hazy golden. Flavor was mostly hoppy, a little dry...a little one dimensional, but not overpowering.
