Commercial Description:
We Consider this an extreme version of an American Pale Ale. It has a very up front floral and citrus aroma from a late cascade addition and dry hopping with Amarillo. This beer also has a big malt background to balance the bitterness of the hops. The rye malt cleans up your palette after you swallow so the hop flavor does not stick in your mouth too long.
Now available in bottles.

12 oz. bottle from Total Wine in Huntersville, NC. Pours a nice amber/bold gold color with a light head. Aroma is lightly rye, hops, very faint citrus. Taste is sharp from the rye used, finished clean. Not too keen on this, but good nonetheless.

Bottle poured a clear orange with a small lasting ivory head. Aromas of rye, earthiness, light pine and a hint of grapefruit rind. Palate was medium bodied aqnd crisp. Flavors of rye bread, light earthiness and a light hint of grapefruit rind with a crisp moderatly bitter finish. A very enjoyable session beer!

Great beer... hoppy aroma, above average appearance. Good malt balance at the end. Hoppy and malty at the same time. I guess that’s the rye. I have a rye based homebrew going right now and I hope it turns out this good.

Bottle@Home. Floral, malty, grassy aroma. Dark yellow color, almost amber, off-white head, good lace. Very malty, light floral, bitter, grassy, hint of some sourness. Soft mouthfeel. High drinkability, seems like an excellent summer beer to me.

12 oz. bottle from ucusty. Aroma is medium strength floral, orange and grapefruit and a hint of pepper. Flavor is grapefruit and pine with some interesting bitterness that plays around the back of the mouth but doesn’t outstay its welcome. The palate is almost fluffy, expansive - really leaves you wanting more. Overall, simply delicious and offers a complete package all around. My favorite APA so far.

Bottle from shp555 - thanks! Somewhat cloudy orange pour with a light-med head. Aroma has a nice citrus-floral hop essence mixed with some rye. Flavor is a nice rye/hop mix that would be awesome if it didn’t have a somewhat "off" grainy taste (not very off). Nice APA that is quite refreshing.

Pours a nice dark golden color. Nice amount of hops in the nose. The problem I have with alot of pale ales is the lingering hops in the aftertaste, they tend to last to long but this has a nice balance in the finish. Very well done you ol turtle.

Thanks to shp555 for this nice pale ale. Pours burnt orange with a generous fluffy white head. Nice aroma of bread and toast, citrus leaning towards lemon, with a spicy rye and "plant store" sort of kick. Taste follows with a pretty tangy bread malt taste and a wonderfully pungent, planty hop flavor. Great back and forth mingling of the flavors between hops and malt. Finishes with grapefruit and toast. Full of flavor, drinkable body, light without weakness. Mouthfeel is kinda unremarkable, but alas. Good stuff!
