skortila (2875), Bunnik, Netherlands Sep 14, 2007 Aroma has floral and slightly grassy hops. Clear, golden-copper coloured with a medium, offwhite head. Taste is bitter with some sweetness. Flowery hops there and the beer has a rye-malty background. Nice beer. pojo41 (315), Hattiesburg, Mississippi, USA Sep 12, 2007 Bottle and draft. Kind of coppery color with an off-white head which leaves a nice lacing. Wonderful hoppy aroma. Flavor of rye malt with the hops dominant but, not overwhelming. Very, very drinkable. An excellent beer. biggmike (480), Hattiesburg, Mississippi, USA Sep 8, 2007 Updated: Nov 29, 2007Had this on draught at the Emerald Coast Brew Fest in Pensacola, FL. Also had in bottle. Pours an attractive orangey-copper color. Hop aroma is evident as soon as you pop the top from the bottle. The rye is evident in the aroma as well. Taste has a very prevalent hop character up front that tranforms into a malty finish that balances well. Good mouthfeel, drinkability is high. I loved this one. hellbilly (1492), scottsdale über alles, Arizona, USA Sep 3, 2007 bottle courtesy of ucusty...pours a copper color with lively carbonation and a light body/mouth feel. earthy, piney aroma with sweet malts and unidentified citrus. flavor is similar but with the addition of a seedy rye bitterness on the finish...little on the sweet side but highly drinkable in large amounts... DKTN (110), Mc Donald, Tennessee, USA Sep 1, 2007 12 oz. bottle. Amber color with an off-white head. Good taste of hops and rye. Slightly bitter aftertaste, but that’s what I expect from a pale ale. I’m glad I picked this one up. kp (8400), Woodstock, Georgia, USA Sep 1, 2007 Updated: Mar 30, 2008Date: 12/01/2002

Amber with a slight chill haze, frothy off-white head, strong citrus hop aroma, lots of grapefruit hop flavor on a balanced malt base with a hint of sweet carmel malts, big bitter finish

same appearance, citrus hop aroma is subdued allowing some sweet malt come through, still lots of that citrus flavor well balanced with the sweet carmel malt followed by the long bitter finish, the bottle brings back most of the glory of the early kegs

fattibobatti (246), Tallahassee, Florida, USA Aug 31, 2007 didnt know what to expect going into this beer. the smell was a very pleasant surprise, lots of hops, floral, citrus. the body is waaay to light for me. the malt taste is a disticnt background but i expected much more in the body. the rye was interesting but i would prefer the bitter hops tadte but than again i love IPAs. dchmela (1406), Orlando, Florida, USA Aug 31, 2007 Pours out a nice golden color with a nice fluffy head. Floral, spicy, citrus aroma. Taste is very smooth with a nice touch of hops and a slight bitterness in the aftertaste. A very well made beer from a great brewery.
