I can’t detect the rye, but it’s probably just me. Reminds me a little of Dale’s in that it’s so nicely balanced and drinkable. This is a great everday beer. JMFG (1514), Florida, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Aug 19, 2007 Slightly hazy amber color with bits of thin white head. Sweet rye and malt aromas along with some light (non-hop) floral hints. Nice palate with some body from the rye. Crisp tasting with a mild hop finish and a general overall sweetness. The rye adds a nice quality but it could use some more hop character to liven it up a bit. desurfer (1067), Pinellas Park, Florida, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Aug 19, 2007 Pours a clear amber with a small off-white head. Aroma of rye and a rich sweetness. Flavor begins subtle but opens up to a moderately sweet rye character offset by some piney hops. Palate is smooth; finish is tangy and sweet. Nice summer quaffer. drewdogg (62), USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Aug 19, 2007 Bottle pour: Pours a golden-orange color with a nice white head. Could be described as it has by some as having a subtle IPA feel though I think it is more of a heavily hopped American style craft ale with rye. Very very subtle citrus flavoring but not to the extent you would find in a wit beer. gunhaver (1025), Tampa, Florida, USA

Rich, dark red pour, with little head and not much in the way of lacing. Aroma is full of hops and citrus notes. Taste feels bolder and stronger than the 5.3% indiciates; citrus, hops, grapefruit. Overall, a good beer. Could be described as an IPA by some. RiverHorse (454), New Jersey, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Aug 18, 2007 Pours a crisp light orange color with a nice inch off-white head. The lacing clung around during the entire time. The scent was very hoppy for a pale ale, with citrus and spice coming through. The taste was very plesant with the hops slightly skewing the balance with the malt. This has many characteristics of an IPA. An excellent session beer, one of the best pales I have had. slimchill (776), Austin, Texas, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Aug 16, 2007 Bottle. Nose is sweet with bitter resiny hop notes, almost sticky. Light grapefruit with less citrusy fruit underneath. Gives an impression of a deep full body. Color is an immaculately clear red-orange with a little head. Exceptionally balanced with citrus bitter hops showing up but not really sticking around. Spicy but smooth palate is refreshing and full bodied, carrying the sweet and bitter flavor very nicely. Immensely balanced pale ale, possibly the most balanced I’ve sampled that still shows hop character. altonbrownd (1889), Amsterdam, Netherlands
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 15, 2007 Bottle from BierKoning. Golden colour, decent head. Spicy and grassy nose. Very IPA-like. Very interesting beer. Starts out with fruits and strong citrus taste. Then envelops the mouth before sliding down. Interesting. Light, with some texture too. Leaves the throat a bit padded...
