Decent, white head. Smell of wet forest with hints of dark berries. Succulent fruits and berries in flavour followed by grainy malts and ending with a dry, hop bitterness. Rounded and smooth textured. Pleasant and a bit unusual (Earls Court, hotel room 07.08.2009). brigg (215), Charlottesville, Virginia, USA

An aroma of round floral and pine hops, and clean rye malt; notes of bread and fruit. Shows a persistent but smooth hop flavor. The rye malt flavor makes for a highly drinkable beer; slightly sweet but clean and simple. Full-bodied, smooth and creamy.
(draft) 09/08/09 This was the first Terrapin I had had and I did not have much expectation. But I was instantly fell in love. Full, creamy, almost chewy body. Easy smooth flavor with nicely balanced rye malt and floral hops. evergreen0199 (259), London, Greater London, England

Slight hop aroma. Fruity, slight hop, a little bitter, perfumey. Not too brilliant to be honest. This bottle was close to use by date. BrotherGrendel (580), San Diego, California, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Sep 3, 2009 Bottle at Pinhook. Cloudy orange hue with not much head. Nose is big rye with wort-like sweet pale malts and grape-nuts grain. Flavor is big time rye and malt balanced by a grassy-chalk hop presence, can anyone say Hop Deli? Medium-bodied with a smooth texture. Unique rye flavor embodies this rare style, and this is quite balanced. Delicious and standout much like most of Terrapin’s beers! tennisjoel (937), Shakopee, Minnesota, USA

Very grassy/earthy hops. Flavor is subtle and light. A little boring. Nothing offensive. OK. imdownthepub (5120), Banbury, Oxfordshire, England
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 1, 2009 Bottled, 355ml, from Bellingers Garage, Grove, Oxon. Orange amber, carbonated, with white head. Initial dull wet cardboard from the carbonation, turns into a fruity but sharp, pine resin type flavour, dry on the hops with a light bitterness. Finishes a little thin and lemonade on the palate, but overall quite reasonable. asheft (1383), Marburg, Germany

Beautiful floral and citrus bouquet--notes of apricot and strawberry. Also some toffee. Foggy gold covered by wisps of white. Flavor = assertive bitterness in front of dry caramel and bitter grapefruit. Peach and pear accents. Light to medium body, medium carbonation, lingering bitterness, though dry and crisp in the finish.
