Commercial Description:
We Consider this an extreme version of an American Pale Ale. It has a very up front floral and citrus aroma from a late cascade addition and dry hopping with Amarillo. This beer also has a big malt background to balance the bitterness of the hops. The rye malt cleans up your palette after you swallow so the hop flavor does not stick in your mouth too long.
Now available in bottles.

This brew is great. Light aroma, goes down smooth, easy to drink, hoppy after taste. Better in a glass than in a bottle, no complaints. A solid American ale.

Pours up a clear deep golden color with a nice thick couple fingers of off-white foam sitting on top. The foam slowly settles and leaves lots of wispy lacing stuck to the side of the glass. A nice layer of lace settles to cover the top of the brew. Wonderful sweet rye malt up front is soon followed by a great floral hoppy aroma. Little touch of pine and a hint of grapefruit. Wonderful aroma. Great smooth malt body with a delicious sweetness and rye flavor. Fruity floral hops come through next with a touch of apple, berry, and grapefruit. Little hop bitterness comes through at the end. This brew is smooth and very easy to drink. Big in flavor but it sits fairly light in the stomach. A great brew for a hot summer day or at the end of a long day.

Bottle. Lots of lightly sweet malt with some caramel, toffee and brown sugar. Mild hoppiness. Very fresh smelling. Pours golden caramel. Excellent lacing. Flavor is lots of creamy malt but fairly dry. Grassy and farm-like hops. Unique earthy dryness. Medium bodied. Fairly creamy. Good carbonation. Nicely balanced pale. Unique malt-hop profile. Must be the rye.

Pours a hazy golden orange color with a medium white head. Unfiltered with lots of floating hops. Aroma of citrus, faint floral tones and zesty lemon. Taste is bitter with citrus undertones and a lemony finish. Not bad.

Bottle. Not much aroma at all, and it pours only slightly more tinted than a lot of macro pale lagers. The thin white head disappeared fairly quickly. The flavor was a different story. Very smooth, drinkable pale ale with a hint of hops, blended nicely with a touch of sweet malt and that distinctive rye flavor. Goes down smooth. It may not look like much, but this one turned out to be a great session beer that I’ll be sure to pick up.

Bottle. Lacking on the aroma.... But has a great flavor and palate. Lively carbonation, hoppy and overall a very good APA.

Aquired from Suttree in a recent trade. Medium copper color with a small head. Nice aroma of sweetened hops, caramel malts, and citrus. Flavor is dry hops, floral, malts. Quite refreshing with a dry, light bitter finish. Thanks Phil.

Bottle. The aroma has straw, caramel and of course rye bread for the grain component with grass and earth in the background. Color is clear amber with a small fizzy white head. Flavor starts acidic and the short finish is moderately bitter. Palate is light, dry with a fizzy carbonation and finishes lightly astringent. I rated the aroma a little high only for the uniqueness of the rye. Though not a bad beer, the lack of complexity in the flavor keeps this one out of my higher ratings list.
