Commercial Description:
We Consider this an extreme version of an American Pale Ale. It has a very up front floral and citrus aroma from a late cascade addition and dry hopping with Amarillo. This beer also has a big malt background to balance the bitterness of the hops. The rye malt cleans up your palette after you swallow so the hop flavor does not stick in your mouth too long.
Now available in bottles.

Pours a hazy golden orange color with a medium white head. Unfiltered with lots of floating hops. Aroma of citrus, faint floral tones and zesty lemon. Taste is bitter with citrus undertones and a lemony finish. Not bad.

Bottle. Not much aroma at all, and it pours only slightly more tinted than a lot of macro pale lagers. The thin white head disappeared fairly quickly. The flavor was a different story. Very smooth, drinkable pale ale with a hint of hops, blended nicely with a touch of sweet malt and that distinctive rye flavor. Goes down smooth. It may not look like much, but this one turned out to be a great session beer that I’ll be sure to pick up.

Bottle. Lacking on the aroma.... But has a great flavor and palate. Lively carbonation, hoppy and overall a very good APA.

Aquired from Suttree in a recent trade. Medium copper color with a small head. Nice aroma of sweetened hops, caramel malts, and citrus. Flavor is dry hops, floral, malts. Quite refreshing with a dry, light bitter finish. Thanks Phil.

Bottle. The aroma has straw, caramel and of course rye bread for the grain component with grass and earth in the background. Color is clear amber with a small fizzy white head. Flavor starts acidic and the short finish is moderately bitter. Palate is light, dry with a fizzy carbonation and finishes lightly astringent. I rated the aroma a little high only for the uniqueness of the rye. Though not a bad beer, the lack of complexity in the flavor keeps this one out of my higher ratings list.

Pours orange-amber into the glass with a predominately nitrous-induced head, diminishing to a tiny ring with trace lace. The nose is of yeasty dough, some sourness present. Nice malt upfront, the rye is somewhat present, but I don’t know that I would have been able to distinguish it without the description. Decently balanced hops in the lingering dry finish. The rye shows up more so at this point than previously noted. Mouthfeel is medium-round and still cleansing. The body has substance and character. Good session brew here.

a nice creamy finish with a nice balance of malts and hops. Love the sweet aroma, but little if any in the taste. This beer goes down well and is one of my personal choices for my beer after work.

Hazy copper body, large rocky head, lots of lacing. Floral aroma of C-hops, and some toffee/caramel. Dry and fruity taste, some sweetness & breadyness from the malt. Grapefruit and caramel in the hoppy finish. Good balance. Nice.
