nick76 (2634), Tampa, Florida, USA May 1, 2007 The aroma has lightly toasted, sweet malt with caramel and citrus hops. The appearance is coper gold with a small head. The flavor is like the aroma. The palate is this but smooth from carbonation. The aftertaste is malty and hoppy. Overall it’s a really good beer. andyhite (290), Murfreesboro, Tennessee, USA Apr 30, 2007 12oz bottle reveals a rich amber head complimented by a cream-colored head. aromas of thicker caramel creamy malts, vanilla, and heavier flora just about cover the bases here. typical pine from this pale, also notable clove and not-so-notable bitterness. the rye adds an interesting twist on the finish. not too terribly long, but rather smooth for the pale style. johnadam2002 (529), Hainesport, New Jersey, USA Apr 30, 2007 Citrus aroma with hints of hops. Nice mixture of malts and hops. Very smooth. Braudog (3733), Dayton, Ohio, USA Apr 29, 2007 On draft at Mellow Mushroom, Charleston. There’s a nice head on a light amber and still brew. The aroma is nice and tight, hoppy and piney. As promised, this is an excellent resiny brew and the rye adds a nice grainy base for it that is a bit different and unique. I really, really enjoyed this. (#2815, 4/22/2007) fishingnet (1045), Brandon, Florida, USA Apr 27, 2007 Bottle. Pours a clear light copper with a small lasting white head that leaves good lacing. Aroma of malted rye, citrus hops, mango, and light floral hops. Taste is rye up front then lends its way to sweet malt and citrus. Medium mouthfeel that finishes dry and spicy. I love rye in my beer and this is one of my favorites. benclarkiii (73), Raleigh, North Carolina, USA Apr 22, 2007 Very nice ale. The head and lacing were simply amazing. Great balanced flavor. I will definitely try some of their other offerings. Sammy (3934), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Apr 20, 2007 Thanks to Boutip (trade #6) I have from this up-and-coming brewery a clean refreshing well crafted rye. I didn’t tell you yet how I like the taste of rye, it’s in my European genes. Big headed, well hopped pale with good prominent rye taste. A nice one. Neutral aroma, on the hoppy side.
TheCEO (100), USA Apr 16, 2007 Terrapin Owns. This is just as good as Sierra Nevada Pale Ale...maybe even better.
