| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Mar 16, 2007 Bottle thanks to Shp555. Poured a clear golden amber body with nice size head. Aroma is of citrus hops with a detection of malt. Flavor is sweetened with hops, touch of citrus and a big malty profile. Smooth with a nice palate. Good Pale Ale I wish was available around here in six-packs. Ramenen (453), San Salvador, El Salvador
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Mar 11, 2007 Another great by Terrapin. Fruity and hoppy and well rounded. The maltiness adds to the overall taste. Nice. realale420 (399), west covina, California, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Mar 9, 2007 12oz bottle (thanks to shigadeyo) poured a clear pale/orange color with a small white head. Aromas of sweet caramel malts and spicy/citrus hops. For being a rye pale you can’t really taste the rye, just a small amount in the finish. The bitterness and flavor hops went together nicely with the malts. As they say the rye does wash out the lingering hop bitterness and taste. Overall I think this is one of the top Pale Ales. bergface (57), madison, Alabama, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Mar 5, 2007 Wow.... I cant believe the Golden is rated so low especially in comparison. I think that this pretty similar to the Golden, especially the crispness of the cascade. The rye definately alters the finish, really I have to say all Terrapins I have had have been nice, especially the Wake n Bake Impy. JCB (1746), Durham, North Carolina, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Mar 4, 2007 Really nice, crisp IPA. I don’t think the rye malts are as present as they might be, but this is one fine and drinkable brew. I plan to keep it in regular rotation during the warm months. alexanderj (2227), Chino Hills, California, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Feb 27, 2007 Updated: Jun 4, 2008Rerate; bottle. Poured an amber color, not much head. Aroma was lighter than I remembered, but still malt heavy. A little hoppier than I remembered, which I liked. Overall not much to say differently, although I really think that it is a very good version of the style now. 3.4 to 3.5. (Bottle; poured a light amber. Aroma was a little too heavy on the malt for my liking; didnt pick up on much hops. Good session beer; nice blend of malt, rye and hops flavors. Not much after taste; good mouthfeel.) golubj (1286), Sunnyvale, California, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Feb 27, 2007 Bottle. Nice aroma of hops, malt/grain, and some sugar. Very good mouthfeel. A sweet flavor with a mild hop presence. Crisp finish. One of the better pale ales I have had. mhelgason (495), Charlotte, North Carolina, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Feb 27, 2007 Bottle. Mostly diminishing white head. Slightly cloudy dark orange color. Aroma was light; Grapefruit with some floral hops. Flavor initially lightly sweet and finishes with some bitterness. Texture is slightly watery. Overall much probably best pale ale I have ever had, but it is still a pale ale.
