rayg1 (432), Ft. Mill, South Carolina, USA Sep 24, 2006 Awesome beer, It pours a nice deep golden/amber color, good head. Nice hoppy little aroma. I can definatley taste a difference b/c of the rye. Something I would visit again. redlight (1445), Winter Park, Florida, USA Sep 24, 2006 thanks to bobo, draft @ my house! Malty sweet aroma, some resin. Pours a nice gold color with a big white head. Hoppy resiny flavor, the smooth malts and a little rye spiciness. finishes very clean. JonnyC22 (162), Huntsville, Alabama, USA Sep 22, 2006 Updated: Dec 21, 2007I had to change my rating. This beer is phenomenal with caramel covered popcorn. kenb (1100), Oregon, USA Sep 22, 2006 12 oz bottle via DecaturStevo(thanks!). Pours a hazy golden/amber color with an average size but fast diminishing head that leaves no lace. Tons of tiny bubbles coming up from the bottom of the pilsner glass. Spicey aroma of rye, lemon, vanilla and perhaps some toasted malts. Pretty much tastes like it smells, but the over the top carbonation makes it hard to really taste or enjoy. A bit our sourness and pepper in the aftertaste. Thin bodied. Just not my thing. StevenSimpson (10), Starkville, Mississippi, USA Sep 19, 2006 I visited a friend who told me that I HAD to try this beer. He said that it was a local beer and that he thought I would like it. Well I did. I live in Mississippi, finishing up school and I cannot get it here. The closest place is an hour or so away in Tuscaloosa, AL. So if anyone from Terrapin is reading, There are Starkville, MS residents who like your beer as well!! MI2CA (1260), Noblesville, Indiana, USA Sep 18, 2006 pint - Aroma is moderate citrus floral hops, carmel, and some rye. Pours hazy orange-brown with no head or lacing. Flavor is a stronger version of aroma. Big fresh tasty citrus hops. Subtle rye and malts. Palate is crisp. A refreshing and tasty brew. SkiBumKT22 (2), Atlanta, Georgia, USA does not count Sep 4, 2006 A great pale ale with a little less of the bitter aftertaste that one can get after other beers. Just moved to Atlanta and will make this my go-to beer. Magjayran (1379), Durham, North Carolina, USA Aug 17, 2006 Orange color with a big ol fluffy white head. You can tell there’s some rye in there when you smell it but mostly you get a lot of citrusy American hop characteristics. Flavor is wonderfully citrusy without going overboard. Great competition for the SNPAs of the world.
