Numenor (869), Richmond, Virginia, USA Jun 29, 2006 Big thanks to CaptainCougar for including this bonus in his latest trade with me. Goldish orange, cloudy body with a frothy ivory head. Sweet aroma, hints of rye and hops are present, definatly not the citrus flavors I was expecting. Body is nice and smooth, taste is big hops and rye with some light fruits. Cool ending. maniac (2628), Richmond, Virginia, USA Jun 29, 2006 Cloudy orange color with a medium frothy off-white head. Sweet floral hops aroma mixed with some light caramel. Sweet citrus hops flavor, with a little grassiness. Thanks to CaptainCougar for sending this to Richmond. eurobier (18), snellville, Georgia, USA Jun 26, 2006 Amber pour almost orange color, small head fades quickly. Very slight bite to the palate good flavor grass and citrus flavor components, its good to live in Ga. so I can get this one again. cbkschubert (1945), Cochise Co., Arizona, USA Jun 22, 2006 via trade with Beer Hawk - Pours an orangish color with a slight haze. The small poured head fades to nothing quickly. Has a light citrus hop aroma. Flavor is nicely balanced. Light to medium body. Very easy drinking. Thanks Steve. wesxrob (2), USA does not count Jun 20, 2006 What a great beer! it smells very fruity with some definite hops aroma. the color was a golden hue with a 1/2" inch head that disappated quickly. the taste is very similar to most pale ales with a fruity taste with hops present. however, there is a definite rye tanginess that hits the palate. Overall a very good beer to be enjoyed.
GeneralGao (3051), Iowa City, Iowa, USA Jun 15, 2006 12 oz bottle. Clear light orange color with foamy white head that laced the glass. Attractive floral and citrus hop aroma. I also smell some peanuts. Soft malty sweetness and citrusy hop flavor. Slight hop bitterness at the end. iowaherkeye (1832), Bakersfield, California, USA Jun 14, 2006 12oz bottle courtesy of heemer77. Pours a hazy orange golden with a small fizzy head. Aroma of floral and citrus hops, caramel malts and bread. Very well balanced, I want to say it’s pretty malty and bready, and then turn and say it’s fairly bitter. Taste follows aroma. There is some spiciness toward the end, which I think may be the rye. Finish is dry. Medium bodied, light-medium carbonation. Good beer. Thaichile (599), 10aFly, New Jersey, USA Jun 11, 2006 Bottle. Pours a darker golden with a decent little head on top. Hop presence on the nose. Nicely balanced between hops and malts is more reminiscent of a 2IPA rather than an APA. Very slightly sweet with a smooth, thick finish with some biitterness at the end. I’d have this one again. Thanks to Goldtwins for the bottle.
