Commercial Description:
We Consider this an extreme version of an American Pale Ale. It has a very up front floral and citrus aroma from a late cascade addition and dry hopping with Amarillo. This beer also has a big malt background to balance the bitterness of the hops. The rye malt cleans up your palette after you swallow so the hop flavor does not stick in your mouth too long.
Now available in bottles.

Thanks to Captain Couger for this 12 ouncer. Hoppy, dry with a nice clean finish, this a beer that you can have a nice session with. There isn’t much aroma, but it was tasty.

Illinismitty hooked me up with this 12oz bottle. Poured a nice golden, slightly orange color with a thin, quickly diminishing head. Subtle hop aroma with some malty notes as well. Nice enjoyable flavor with a good dry hoppy finish. Some rye also comes out in this very drinkable APA.

Bottle at the Franklin, TN Mellow Mushroom. Quite malty fragrance and definately notes of hops. The taste was very sweet, and citrusy with more and more fruit showing through. I reall enjoyed this and will probably order another as one of my first beers when I return.

Bottle courtesy of HogTownHarry. Deep hazy orange with a small white head. Nice, fresh aroma of big citric hops, backed up with some rye bread notes. Flavour of orange, grapefruit and pineapple juice with bitter rye notes in the finish. Nicely balanced and very tasty.

Bottle courtesy of HogTownHarry. Pours a hazy dark golden-orange with an average size lasting fluffy off-white head. Nice aroma of citrus hops, fruit and rye malt. Simple but tasty flavour of hops, fruit and rye, a real pleasure to drink. Medium bodied. A really good session APA.

Bottle courtesy of goldtwins. Pours a transparent sunny yellow with a minimal white head that barley retains. The aroma is kinda piney...with some light fruitiness...but like a Juicy Fruit frutiness...hard to place what kinds of fruit I’m smelling. Similar elements in the flavor, but there’s more of a light caramel malt character than fruitiness to go along the the small piney flavor in the back. Decent body for the style, though a bit watery at points but for the most part it’s where it needs to be. Finishes slightly bitter and clean, pretty good session brew: a good amount of flavor and character without being too heavy. Not bad, but it makes the Rye Squared seem more like the Rye Cubed.

Pours golden honey colored. Smells of hops and citrus sweet and a little piney. Well rounded flavor of sweet malts and hoppy bitter finish. Nothing overpowering. Light and slightly effervecent and crisp. Tasty beer. Great for summer

Draught pint at the Mellow Mushroom in Savannah, GA. Hazy dark amber with a touch of head, served too cold but drunk slowly....spicy citrus, new leather, smelly greens and juniper berries in a fascinating, pungent, heavy and heady (appropriate in this hippie-heaven of a pizza palace) odor....the body offers an immediately sweet fruity, acidic front, with tingly spicy herbs growing in power towards the quite dry and pleasantly bitter, lightly twiggy finish....somewhat thin and watery but easy-drinking enough that I hardly noticed....very good, and a brewery I need to keep my eye on.
