Commercial Description:
We Consider this an extreme version of an American Pale Ale. It has a very up front floral and citrus aroma from a late cascade addition and dry hopping with Amarillo. This beer also has a big malt background to balance the bitterness of the hops. The rye malt cleans up your palette after you swallow so the hop flavor does not stick in your mouth too long.
Now available in bottles.

Bottle, courtesy of trade with Jimbowood. I really liked this beer. It poured a nice golden color, with a nice head. Taste was fairly hoppy, with some nice citrus taste mixed in. A very good pale ale.

Thanks to goldtwins. Pours a murky honey and has pretty much no head. Aroma is fruity and citrusy hops...with a bit of sweet malt showing. Taste is citrusy hops...not too bitter and some clean sweet malt. Mouthfeel is light and tickles the palate. Pretty good.

On tap at the Vortex. This is a typical well made APA. Very clear light amber- deep gold color with a thin white head. Aroma is moslty a ligth citrus and herbal hop mix with a bit of a earhty zest to it and slightly bready. Flavor has some crisp clean crystal malts, light caramel hints and a clean hoppy bitter finish. The Rye malt itself isnt really noticed too much, and if they hadnt said that it used rye, I wouldnt have detected any. Very clean and easy drinking, yet kind of less than what I was expecting.

Pours a slightly hazy light orange with a thin gray white head. Hop aroma of citrus and vanilla with a little berry sweetness in there. Light grapefruit flavor with a touch of cinnamon candy a bit of orange flavor also. Finish is doughy with a light sugary flavor. Thanks to ilinismitty for this. Ap-4 ar-7 tas-6 pal-3 ov-13

Bottle, courtesy of Hogtown Harry (big thanks man!). Ah, what is about American micro’s that thy can make such deep orange brews that just look hoppy, eh? I love it! And this is a most welcome sight after a long week at work. Nice sized foamy head too. Aroma of fresh citrus hop, almost like an orange concentrate - sweet and resiny. Taste follows suit on a slightly lighter body than I was expecting. Very soapy and tingly at the same time in the mouth. Decent malt, didn’t really pick up the rye aspect to be honest. Finishes a little too short. What a great session brew, really enjoyed it.

Thanks to Goldtwins for this one. Pours out a nice amber color with not much of a head, but what was there was small and white. The aroma is mostly hoppy. The taste is of citrus hops with a very nice malt presence, the rye adds another dynamic I’m not use to, a refreshing departure from the norm for this style.

Bottle. Poured a clear copper with a thin white head. Great aroma of mainly rye and floral supported with hops and dough. The flavor found citrus, a more subdued rye, and a malt background. Dry and a light bitterness throughout. Very nice. I’m glad I picked up a sixer.

Bottle (12oz). Hazy amber-gold with a smallish foamy white head. Somewhat muted APA aroma of citrus and light resin hops, decent light roast malt, tangerines, and rye. Nice, if mild, citrus juice and rye malt flavour, not very hoppy at all, pleasant. Slightly watery mouthfeel, acidic, nicely carbonated, quick off the tongue - a really nice session APA, I could have drunk the whole six-pack.
