3.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Aromas of peaches, apricots, oranges, floral hops, caramel, bread dough, and hints of milk chocolate. Orange-golden, honey-colored, slightly hazy, with minimal off-white head foam. Dry and clean, with very pleasant, mellow bitterness atop a smooth malt foundation. Medium-full, well carbonated, and finishes with a good balance of malts and hops, and without too much of either. A very well-balanced, smooth, straight up pale ale.

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle: Semi-cloudy copper color with a small head. Floral aroma with a little hairspray. Sharp flavor of what I assume to be rye and perfumy hops. Average body with a musty aftertaste.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours a sightly hazy golden color with a finger of foam. The nose is a mixture of pine citrus and honeyed malts kissed with a touch of spice. The palate is bright with some good citrus notes that lead into a round malt mid palate and a bitter finish with a touch of rye spice that is well integrated.

3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 13/20
12oz bottle. Clear, honey-colored. Decent lacing, medium head. Good aroma, a little grainy-sweet, taste matches, but with quite a bit more bitterness at the back. Good taste not overwhelming in terms of rye. Nicely done actually, pretty medium body, not too strong of an aftertaste. Decently well balanced. Not the best rye beer, but far from the worst.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Sample at SBWF 2013.
Dark golden with a white head. Aroma and taste of malt, rye, hops and with a fairly bitter finish. Nothing wrong with this one but it was a bit weaker than expected.

Still alittle hoppy but like the yeast choice for the overtones. Really a nice why to get the rye.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
There's a slight citrus taste with some hoppy finishing notes. I'm realizing I'm spoiled in Colorado, the Florida microbrew selection is still playing catch up.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
12 oz bottle into a pint glass.
A: Pours a clear copper color. The head is a rocky-looking two fingers high white shade. Really nice lacing is left down the glass, like I’d expect from the style.
S: This skews very much toward the herbal, piny, and spicy side in terms of hoppiness. A decent (if not spectacular) rye backing helps augment the subtle piny hops. Straight out of the bottle, I pick up a touch of graham cracker sweetness. Not the biggest or most spectacular aroma, but pretty enticing.
T: I’d reckon the rye malts are what I pick up the most. A slight finish of piny hops also pops up. If any beer were more for simply drinking than picking apart analytically, this is it.
M: I like the crisp, clean finish, the slender body, and how it whisks away any unnecessary sweetness...but it would do an even better job if it had a bit more carbonation. Rye malts seem to prick the tongue ever-so-slightly.
O: It’s kind of mundane. It’s also really easy to session and enjoy with a burger, pizza, or whatever. I probably won’t buy it again, but I won’t have any problems killing this 6 pack.
