We Consider this an extreme version of an American Pale Ale. It has a very up front floral and citrus aroma from a late cascade addition and dry hopping with Amarillo. This beer also has a big malt background to balance the bitterness of the hops. The rye malt cleans up your palette after you swallow so the hop flavor does not stick in your mouth too long.
Now available in bottles.

Bottled. Pours a pale gold with white head. Mellow hop aroma, mix of pine and grapefruit. Flavor opens with sweet, light malt followed by small hit of bitterness, finishing with a little fruit and minimal bitterness. Mouthfeel on the thin side. Light-bodied. A simple, clean pale ale.

From can: Aroma is malty and slight dusty. Weak floral notes and rye bread. Taste is better than aroma. Slightly sweet malts that is followed by soft hops and quite raw bitterness. In the end rather weak overall.

UPDATED: JUN 11, 2016 Can sample at a tasting at Max’s place. Thanks kerenmk. Golden with a white head. Stale hops aroma. Dry flavor with bitterish stale hops, a sweetish malty touch, and a rye hint. Light to medium-bodied. Seems too old (BBD is 3 weeks ago).

Reddish amber pour, slightly hazy with a nice white head. Nicely made beer. Easy to drink, nice citrus nose. Hoppy, though certainly no where near face melting. Enjoyable with a pizza!

Pours hazy orange-amber with a 2-finger white head. Mild aroma with a peppery note over citrus oil. Body is medium and lightly oily, with a touch of astringency in the finish. Flavor of citrus hops mixed with a peppery, grassy note that lingers in the finish.

Pinkish orange pour, no head. Aroma is Cheerios, perfume, floral. Taste is not as spicy from the rye as one would imagine, more grainy and floral, slight lemon. Watery on the palate. Just an ok pour.
