| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Dec 12, 2004 Bottle. Slightly hazy orange body with a fluffy, big-bubbled, quickly-diminishing head. Big citric nose of orange and grapefruit, freshly baked bread, whole grains, melted caramel, light pine resin, slightly tart wheat (or rye) and a bit of floral/herbal element. The body is full and almost chewy without being filling. The flavor is excellent and quite satisfying. The hops give an excellent citrus fruit flavor that sits atop a fine layer of slightly sweet malt. The drinkability is subperb and the flavor is delightful. This is something I could drink regularly if it were available. An excellent example! adrian910ss (1445), philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Aug 4, 2007 Pours a hazy golden orange color with a medium white head. Unfiltered with lots of floating hops. Aroma of citrus, faint floral tones and zesty lemon. Taste is bitter with citrus undertones and a lemony finish. Not bad. drowland (1445), Tallahassee, Florida, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 19, 2009 On tap in a pint glass. Aroma is a bit sour with a small hint of hops. The flavor is quite sour and dry like grapefruit and lemons but once it passes there is a pleasant lingering hop presence. The linger in the mouth reminds of nuts and chocolate. nqualls (1435), Nashville, Tennessee, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jul 8, 2006 Bottle, from trade with goldtwins. Shared with ClarkVV. Good nose, litely fruity, lemon & orange, with sharp rye. Tad hazy orangy gold color, medium size head faded quickly. Minor lacing. Bitter flavor, like aroma though the rye gets a bigger bite to it. Though it could be the mix wiith the hops. Medium body, creamy sticky mouthfeel, bitter finish. Tasty, wish I had another to enjoy right now. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 14, 2009 Bottle. Aroma of rye bread, citrus, and what smells to me like candi sugar??? Flavor again quite rye including the appropriate spicy graininess that should come with it. Probably the second most truly rye tasting beer I’ve had. Aside from the rye though, there’s not a whole lot going on in the mouth, just some balancing bittering hops. Not a ton of body either, something just seems missing behind the rye front. Pretty good though despite my vague complaining. mrkimchee (1414), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Dec 31, 2009 Bottle from Santa. Thanks Santa!! Orange pour with white head. Aroma of bright, piney hops, some fruit, and spicy rye . Flavor is better than the aroma: fruity, with a nice hop note, and dry, spicy rye finish. Finishes clean. I’ve got to get down to Georgia and visit this place, because I’m impressed by so many of their beers. Really, this is one of the best session brews I’ve ever had.
