Some spotty lacing as the snifter drained. Aroma profile was that of toasted malts, clover honey, citrus and some faint spicy rye grain. Mouthfeel was creamy and smooth with just a touch of carbonation. The malts dominate the flavor profile with a subdued sweetness; like toasted rye bread with honey drizzled on top. Some faint orangey citrus notes come through in the finsih. Overall quite light and crisp. Would be a tasty thirst quencher served a bit colder in the hot Florida summers. madmitch76 (659), , Essex, England

Earthy malt aroma with slight notes of orange and lemon. There’s also some pepper and pine scents in there too. Floral hop flavor with a hearty dose chewy malt and a dry, peppery pine finish. Medium body. gsmitty80 (653), Washington DC, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 5/5 | 15/20 | Jul 29, 2005 Pours golden with a slight head and lacing. The head is quixkly diminishing with a nose of flowers and dried orange. The pale taste is pleasing and it has absolutly no aftertaste. A truly wonderful beer which isnt comming from a Homer as in the last couple of ratings ;-). beeryum (652), Norcross, Georgia, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jun 7, 2005 12oz bottle and draft. Nice golden orange pour and small white head. Hops are floral and a little grassy. Nice medium malty pale ale, with good rye flavor. Good body and carbonation for the style. This is an essential fridge-stocker for any Georgian. Draft version of this had a much bigger rye nose. I wish the bottled version had that. belgianhomebrew (646), Acworth, Georgia, USA

Slight hop aroma. Good hop bitterness carries throughout. Finishes to the dry side. Rye gives it a good bite in the finish. Not quite as good as I was expecting, but still a decent APA. noncaloric (639), Madison, Wisconsin, USA

Floral hops aroma mingled with bread crusts. Tasty, but to me the abundant hops aren’t harmonized well with the sourdough bread malt backbone. Medium body, soft and foamy on the palate. | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jul 31, 2009 Solid beer on draft at the Vortex. As a nice hop flavor with malt balance. Not a hop bomb, but those grapefruity flavors are certainly there. Has some grass-rye type of flavor thats pretty unique to an APA.
