3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
From 12 oz. bottle to small sampling glass. Out of the bottle you a good scent of malt and rye followed by hop notes. Color is very clear and pale yellow with minimal head and lacing. To the palate it is a very light body, slightly carbonated with a short bitter finish. Overall this RPA is a solid drink with a good malty and hoppy combination.

Pours a nice clear orange color with off-white head. Rye, spice, floral notes, and some citrus on the nose; follows onto the palate. Finishes with rye and spice. Very nice, just a good amount of hop bit but enough caramel malt to round it out.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle... Poured amber golden with a moderate head. Aroma of complimenting grassy hops and rye spice. Very earthy. A little drying, rye malts and ready-like malt came through to balance out the battering and citrus forward hops. Nice drinking pale ale.

Poured from bottle into a pint glass
Appearance – The beer pours a lightly hazed golden amber color with a one finger head of pure white foam. The head fades relatively quickly leaving a light level of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma of the beer is heaviest of a caramel smell mixed with some lighter grainy and moderate rye bread smells. Along with these aromas are some other lighter notes of citrus orange and a bit of grass and floral hop.
Taste – The taste begins much heavier on the rye flavor then I would have thought from the nose. While not a super rye powerhouse it does have a nice hit of it which lasts throughout the taste. At the front of the taste, there is a caramel and lighter fruit flavor of pear and some citrus. As the taste moves forward the sweetness fades a bit as some of the caramel is lost. While this occurs, some spice flavors move onto the tongue melding nicely with the rye flavors of the brew. With a bit of an herbal and grassy flavor join the taste at the end of the flavor and with the rye moving from a more smooth bready nature to a slightly more grainy flavor at the end of the taste, one is left with a nice crisp and tasty rye bread flavor to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is on the average to slightly thinner side with a carbonation level that is on the average side. While just a tad more carbonation would have really nicely complemented the blend of sweeter and drier rye flavors that transition throughout the taste, the slightly thinner body did just that rather well, and helped leave the nice crisp and more refreshing rye flavor on the tongue at the end of the taste.
Overall – A quite easy drinking and still very tasty rye brew that is blended nicely with sweet, spice and crisp flavors which really make for an easy drinker.
