COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We Consider this an extreme version of an American Pale Ale. It has a very up front floral and citrus aroma from a late cascade addition and dry hopping with Amarillo. This beer also has a big malt background to balance the bitterness of the hops. The rye malt cleans up your palette after you swallow so the hop flavor does not stick in your mouth too long.
Now available in bottles.

A very solid and clean APA, but the rye addition adds a nice spice. Good beer, from a great brewery.

2 oz bottle dated best by December 2014. Medium pour produces 1+ finger of off-white head. Head has good duration and leaves very nice lacing. Clear amber liquid. Nice aroma of floral and citrus hops with lightly toasted malt. Modestly complex and balanced flavor, with distinctive rye component. M - smooth with perfect carbonation. Medium/thin body. Semi-dry finish. O - a very well-crafted APA with added rye spicing. Excellent rye pale ale. Recommended.

Bottle picked up at GBBF. Aroma is grainy, spicy rye bread, raw grains. slightly worty. Clear bright orange coloured pour with a sticky slightly greeny white head. Some piney, slightly wet grassy hops in the nose as well. Flavour is composed of grainy rye bread, spicy pine needles, grainy wheat. Some light caramel and brown sugars. Nice malt complexity. Palate is highish carbonation, semi-sweet. Touch of chalk on the tongue. Pretty drinkable, maybe a little too sweet.

Enjoyably well balanced beer, earthy hops nicely balanced by slightly sweet, nutty malt with hints of grapefruit and orange zest. Lovely beer.

One of my "go to IPA’s" especially for outside grilling and hanging out. Well balanced and not too hoppy if not in the mood. Great "bang for your buck" brew

This is a nice beer, the rye and malty back bone is really awesome as it provides enough balance and a good bit of spice to the citrus and floral notes.

Pours a clear yellow gold with moderate head. Aroma is mild citrus and garlic. Flavor is mild ,bitter and herbal/grassy with a unpleasant burnt flavor in the aftertaste. This stuff was really hard to drink and became even worse as it warmed. Considering the amount of good reviews I wonder if this was a bad keg/batch. Will have to revisit at some point.

Lemony spicy aroma. Slightly cloudy from rye. Thin head. Clean. Taste is rye with subtle spicy hop flavor. Light body finishes crisp and refreshing. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12oz bottler poured into a shaker. Strong notes of rye bread and citrus as well as some caramel and pine. A big, puffy, off-white head leaves behind a messy webbing of lace. A big poofy island lingers for a long time, but eventually reduces to a thin soapy ring sitting on top of a clear, caramel-orange colored beer. The taste is a medium-high bitter, but balanced nicely with a smooth, medium sweetness. The medium body, oily textured beer has a creamy carbonation. It finishes with a caramel and rye, juicy/syrupy quality with some bread and fruit. The aftertaste is a light, mellow, dry and clean rye grain.

Rcvd in trade. Reviewed from notes. This was poured into a pint glass. The appearance was a nice somewhat light transparent to somewhat hazy pale brown color leading to light tinges of orange coloring along the sides of the glass. There was a decent light lacing sliding right on into the beer. The smell had a faded sort of rye note to it along with a light floral yet somewhat spiciness. The taste was a combination of the previously mentioned flavors. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium in body and had a decent sessionability about it. The carbonation seemed fairly good for the style and for me as it was harsh but not overly done. Overall, in my opinion, this was a good Rye Beer I’d have again.
