Commercial Description:
We Consider this an extreme version of an American Pale Ale. It has a very up front floral and citrus aroma from a late cascade addition and dry hopping with Amarillo. This beer also has a big malt background to balance the bitterness of the hops. The rye malt cleans up your palette after you swallow so the hop flavor does not stick in your mouth too long.
Now available in bottles.

Might be pretty ordinary for an APA despite boasting an interesting name but I enjoyed this a lot on a hot summer day. The rye is pretty much nonexistant for me but I like the chewy mouthfeel, the grapefruity hops and the refreshing feeling I got from this. Quite a suprise for a randomly chosen beer that I got from one nice lady as a sort of a souvenir.

12oz bottle. Dark golden orange with sticky light lacing. Lots of sweet biscuit malt with a touch of grassy orange citrus hop and faint bubblegum notes. Pale rye and crystal malt up front that has a hay taste, faint citrusy hop that is on the sweeter side with bits of caramel.

Tap at Mellow Mushroom. Poured an orangish color. Nice smell of the hops and rye. Citrusy hop flavor with some sweet caramel in there. Really tasty. Nice carbonation. SOLID

Bottle. Pours a nice amber color with a rather large head. Aromas of hops, malts, and a very nice rye aroma. Mouthfeel is very smooth and a nice slick finish. Flavors of hops to start and then a nice malt finish.

On tap at the Terrapin 7th Anniversary. Can’t believe I hadn’t rated this sooner. Pours a golden color with a whispy white head. Aromas of hops, rye and some lemon. Flavors are strong hops and rye with a nice sweetness and a dry finish.

Pours from a a 12oz bottle a nice copper/straw color with a small white head. Aroma is a nice hoppy, citrus and floral. Nice tasting pale ale that picks up the citrus and floral scents to make this a very drinkable beer.

12oz bottle. Pours an off-white head with a clover honey color body. Smells like pineapple, apricots, and honey. There is rye in the nose, flavor, and finish, but I find them very weak.
