This beer pours orange with a light tan head. The aroma is strong with citrus hops. The flavor is also strong with citrus hops and the beer has a dry finish. The mouthfeel is a little thin. There is a slight graininess to the flavor (possibly due to the dry finish or perhaps from the rye), but not an unpleasant one. Overall, this is a very nice hoppy pale ale.

Jun 26, 2009 Pours alittle hazy gold with thick head. Aromas of grass citrus and malt. Tastes grassy grapefruit and a sweet rye yeast and malt. Bitter finish that last a while. Medium body.

Jun 18, 2009 Bottle at El Rey. Pours amber with thin off white head. Minimal hop aroma. Flavor has slight hop notes with good malt balance. Easy drinking. Decent.

Jun 18, 2009 12 oz bottle courtesy of a GAManiac trade. Thanks, Grant! Pours a golden amber hybrid, light haze, big whitish head, bubbly, light lacing, as it dissipates to a decent layer. Aromas are faint with some floral and citrusy gumball like hoppiness, faint pale and rye malts. Straightforward, light. Initial is light bodied, easily quaffable, very APA styled as the beer takes on Pale and Rye malts that give it a little more dimension in the malt category. Hops are citrusy, light and lively, with a touch of gumball sweetness. Light and carefree brew that has some decent flavor. A little lacking in aroma, but a nice summer sessioner for sure. Could use a little more pronounced hop presence. Finishes smooth, lightly sweet, crisp, and faint hop residual.

Jun 9, 2009 Bottle thanks to emacgee. Pours a clear amber color with a medium white head. The aroma is rich citrus hops, lots of grains and honey come in as well. The flavor was very nice; initially a smooth and full citrus hop flavor, the Rye provides a perfect balance to the hops, sweet and earthy. I really like rye in beer. Very nice and somehow both dry and very wet on your palate.

May 31, 2009 Pours a cloudy golden color with a moderate white top, very nice lacing. Moderately bitter with little sweetness to offset. Nice aftertaste. Richer than I expected.

May 26, 2009 taroma is of flowers and hops. tastes like soap. very floral and hoppy. nice creamy aftertaste on the palette. its ok, not something i would get again.
