greenleaf (83), Florida, USA Jan 29, 2008 Bottle. Pours golden orange with a small white head. Noticable carbonation. Smells very strong of rye malt with a background of hops. Taste initially starts with a flood of floral hops which then turns to all rye, and rather dry in the mouth. A nice pale ale especially considering it uses a very underused grain in brewing.

Unclear medium orange color with a small to average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, moderate to light heavy hoppy, orange, moderate grapefruit. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. (130608) Defreni (475), Frederiksberg, Denmark Aug 16, 2008 Flaske. Fin lysravfarvet øl, med et lille skumhoved. Humlet duft, og også en fin smag. Igen er karboneringen ikke helt i orden og den virker gammel. Er overbevist om at øllen er langt bedre frisk, og derfor får den et par point ekstra. MrRomero (1879), Wiesbaden-Biebrich, Germany Aug 8, 2008 12 oz bottle: poured light ornge witha thick creamy cream colored head. Light rye and citrusy hop aroma. Moderate hop flavor with some rye notes along with a bit of citrus and some pineapple. Slight metallic finish and somewhat dry. Good though. Mitch_Wayne (77), Kokkola, Finland Aug 7, 2008 Might be pretty ordinary for an APA despite boasting an interesting name but I enjoyed this a lot on a hot summer day. The rye is pretty much nonexistant for me but I like the chewy mouthfeel, the grapefruity hops and the refreshing feeling I got from this. Quite a suprise for a randomly chosen beer that I got from one nice lady as a sort of a souvenir.
