Commercial Description:
We Consider this an extreme version of an American Pale Ale. It has a very up front floral and citrus aroma from a late cascade addition and dry hopping with Amarillo. This beer also has a big malt background to balance the bitterness of the hops. The rye malt cleans up your palette after you swallow so the hop flavor does not stick in your mouth too long.
Now available in bottles.

12oz Bottle: Clear orange gold pour w/ a small biege head. Great peppery, floral hop aroma. Light bready, toasted malt & grapefruity hops. A tad on the thin side, but very well balanced. Leaves a sweet aftertaste behind. Pretty good.

On Tap. Aroma of citrus and pine. Light golden body with thin, lasting head- nice carbonation. Flavor is filled of hops, pine and citrus balanced with rye malts... nice bitter finish

Bottle purchased at new beer & wine shop in Banner Elk, NC. Nice appearance with a clean taste. Not actually brewed by Terrapin but rather by Flying Dog Brewery "to the exact specifications of Terrapin Beer Company’s brewmaster."

Bottle from Santa. Thanks Santa!! Orange pour with white head. Aroma of bright, piney hops, some fruit, and spicy rye . Flavor is better than the aroma: fruity, with a nice hop note, and dry, spicy rye finish. Finishes clean. I’ve got to get down to Georgia and visit this place, because I’m impressed by so many of their beers. Really, this is one of the best session brews I’ve ever had.

Pours clear gold with a decent white head. Aroma of citrus, ripe fruit and grain. Taste is slightly bitter with good caramel balance. Medium lived bitter finish. Medium body and smooth carbonation.

Pale golden color with little head aroma of malt and citrus hops ... taste of light citrus flavor and sweet malt and rye ... tiny bitter in the finish ... a light and tasty brew you can definitely detect and even flavor and balance of malt rye and hops ... sessionable

Dry aroma, good use of rye. Orange sunset gold. Kiss of the grain adds a little dryness.

12oz bottle. Dark golden orange with sticky light lacing. Lots of sweet biscuit malt with a touch of grassy orange citrus hop and faint bubblegum notes. Pale rye and crystal malt up front that has a hay taste, faint citrusy hop that is on the sweeter side with bits of caramel.

Bottle. Pours hazy yellow-orange with a small white head. Aroma of grain and hops - yes you can smell a distinct rye aroma. It smells like rye bread mixed with hops, which makes this beer interesting before even taking a sip. Flavor is mostly hops. Rye is barely distinguishable from the hops in the flavor but can be noted as a subtle finish. Overall very good.
