COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We Consider this an extreme version of an American Pale Ale. It has a very up front floral and citrus aroma from a late cascade addition and dry hopping with Amarillo. This beer also has a big malt background to balance the bitterness of the hops. The rye malt cleans up your palette after you swallow so the hop flavor does not stick in your mouth too long.
Now available in bottles.

Great looking with light gold color, good white head and excellent lace. Taste is grassy malt that tastes clean and fresh. Too bad it’s undone by overwhelming hops. Note that the hops aren’t really strong...just piney-citrus and persistent. Once the hops arrive in the middle of the palate, they are there to stay, covering everything through the finish. Not for me.

Draft. Pours clear light brown. Smells like citrus hops and malt. Tastes bitter, malty, dry, like grapefruit and malt. Light body and medium carbonation.

Tap. Pours mostly clear amber with creamy white head. Aroma is cereal and toasted malts, orange peel, floral and grassy hops, and light bubblegum. Flavor is dry, bready malts forward with supporting light fruit esters, faint floral hops, and light herbs; dry finish. Medium body and low carbonation.

An excellent beer delivering flavor and complexity while being refreshing and without a high ABV. Quenching with the crisp finish.

Pours opaque light orange with a minimal white head. Some hints of lacing. Aroma is also minimal but smells nice and floral but then again my nose is clogged a little. Taste is great. Good malty backbone with some bitter grassy details. Palate is thin but great for the style. Well balanced. If anyone was wondering if its worth trying I say go for it. Pretty darn tasty.

On tap. Golden yellow with thin head. Subdued aroma of rye malt. Taste is slightly sweet with a bit if citrus (orange). Not much hop character. Mouthfeel is light. Overall, easy dronking, but not overly flavorful or complex.

Tap. Hazy yellow-copper with a heavily lacing white head. Aroma of grass, rye, and pale malts. Pale malt taste with hint of spicy rye and a modest bitterness. Pretty light bodied, dry, and refreshing. Decent, but a bit plain.

Pours straw yellow with a nice pillowy white top. Aroma is pine hop with a small rye spice. Taste is light bitterness from the pine and floral hops but well balanced sweet malt and a small rye spice.

UPDATED: MAY 11, 2013 355 ml bottle from a publix store in Kissimmee Florida. I think this is a very good American pale ale and I’m far to drunk to futhur evaluate. FLVC2 #23. Reflecting a day later this was nice tight and dry. Well hopped, would make a great sessioner.

A very good example of a perfectly balanced rye pale ale. Peppery notes from the rye as well as a creamy mouthfeel. Would be good on a real hot day.
