COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We Consider this an extreme version of an American Pale Ale. It has a very up front floral and citrus aroma from a late cascade addition and dry hopping with Amarillo. This beer also has a big malt background to balance the bitterness of the hops. The rye malt cleans up your palette after you swallow so the hop flavor does not stick in your mouth too long.
Now available in bottles.

Bottle. The pour was a clear straw yellow with an average (1-2 finger) white frothy head that reduced to a thin film with a small collar and did possess some excellent streaky lacing. The aroma was of a light a bread malt, floral hops and a sweet doughy yeast with notes of toffee, rye, citrus (orange), caramel an a mild fruity ester. The taste was lightly malty sweet with a touch of caramel and a slight fruitiness from the start with a hint of rye, a bit of toffee and a mild citrus bitterness towards the finish. The flavor hung on for a little while with the sweet bitter taste fading slowly into the background. Mouthfeel was light in body and a tad watery in texture with a mild carbonation. Overall a Pale Ale that was rather easy going down, and had a very nice malty, sweet and mildly bitter taste that left you craving another...

Draft at Pub 5. The pour is a solid orange. The aroma is nice sweet hops. The taste is an almost perfect pale ale. The sweet blend of hops is great, a very easy drinking beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Transfer from BA review on 4-5-14- Poured from bottle into a pint glass Appearance – The beer pours a lightly hazed golden amber color with a one finger head of pure white foam. The head fades relatively quickly leaving a light level of foamy lace on the sides of the glass. Smell – The aroma of the beer is heaviest of a caramel smell mixed with some lighter grainy and moderate rye bread smells. Along with these aromas are some other lighter notes of citrus orange and a bit of grass and floral hop. Taste – The taste begins much heavier on the rye flavor then I would have thought from the nose. While not a super rye powerhouse it does have a nice hit of it which lasts throughout the taste. At the front of the taste, there is a caramel and lighter fruit flavor of pear and some citrus. As the taste moves forward the sweetness fades a bit as some of the caramel is lost. While this occurs, some spice flavors move onto the tongue melding nicely with the rye flavors of the brew. With a bit of an herbal and grassy flavor join the taste at the end of the flavor and with the rye moving from a more smooth bready nature to a slightly more grainy flavor at the end of the taste, one is left with a nice crisp and tasty rye bread flavor to linger on the tongue. Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is on the average to slightly thinner side with a carbonation level that is on the average side. While just a tad more carbonation would have really nicely complemented the blend of sweeter and drier rye flavors that transition throughout the taste, the slightly thinner body did just that rather well, and helped leave the nice crisp and more refreshing rye flavor on the tongue at the end of the taste. Overall – A quite easy drinking and still very tasty rye brew that is blended nicely with sweet, spice and crisp flavors which really make for an easy drinker.

Nicely balanced brew with a rough rye maltiness and fruity floral hops. Ultimately a bit too sweet to be suitable for repeating.

Draft at Milkboy. Clear orange amber that started with a good amount of frothy white foam. Tastes like a citrus spiked loaf of honey rye bread. Tangerine Challah. Somewhat sweet. Lingering hop spice. Feels peppery - from Green Bell to Chipolte. Juicy but maybe a bit harsh.

I had an old bottle, so take this at arms length. Good enough, not great, nice spicy flavor from the rye. Not much else going on for me. Enjoyable enough.

2 oz bottle dated best by December 2014. Medium pour produces 1+ finger of off-white head. Head has good duration and leaves very nice lacing. Clear amber liquid. Nice aroma of floral and citrus hops with lightly toasted malt. Modestly complex and balanced flavor, with distinctive rye component. M - smooth with perfect carbonation. Medium/thin body. Semi-dry finish. O - a very well-crafted APA with added rye spicing. Excellent rye pale ale. Recommended.

Some piney, slightly wet grassy hops in the nose as well. Flavour is composed of grainy rye bread, spicy pine needles, grainy wheat. Some light caramel and brown sugars. Nice malt complexity. Palate is highish carbonation, semi-sweet. Touch of chalk on the tongue. Pretty drinkable, maybe a little too sweet.
