15th September 2008. Clear brown beeer -sweet spicy start, a spciy mid and a semi dry finish that is very warming. A bit different - this DIPA is more spicy than hoppy. Interesting!

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. Pours a hazy, orange body with a small beige head. Really malty and hoppy with sugary and malty sweetness, as well as lots of pine and resin. I’m thinking rye as well, but not sure if that’s because of the beer’s name. Full-bodied, sticky sweet in the mouth with lots of sugary maltyness and enough pine and resin to make it balanced. The alcohol is well hidden, making it a dangerous beer, as it’s quaffable as hell. A beauty of a kind we’re sure missing in Norway. (080626)
